LINK
Leads the area and most of the state in receiving with 65-1115-14td. Plays at Benton which is 5A in northwest Louisiana. Put on some really good weight this summer and has played great this year. I hear Miss st. is interested. I know LSU wr room is obviously full and he’s not gonna make it in there but what do y’all think? Catches ball in traffic extremely well. Has pretty good speed, not great but runs really good route’s. Looks like a pretty good slot guy.

Y’all gonna make me spend my Friday night down the street at the stadium aren’t y’all?
Btw . This is like the second prospect we’ve had in the last 20 years and we’ve been to the playoffs every year since the mid 90s
All I know is we run the air raid. Like max air raid . Just like state .
Btw, whoever their best receiver is and whoever they throw to the most, will put up a ton of yards. They throw it more than anyone

Yea, they are fun to watch. I think they are averaging somewhere around 58 points a game. Problem is that they average the same on defense too.

I played there up until 05 when I graduated. We ran wing t . I haven’t seen them play but I heard them on the radio and they put up a bunch of points on Byrd which is impressive.
It’s amazing how every team that goes to a spread immediately gets worse on defense

I played QB for Benton in 86. Ran the wing T. hard to believe the offense stayed the same that long.
favorite play: 419 waggle. After running it down defenses throat 20 straight plays, the WB running the post was always wide open.

Might not be the best wideout in the district, might not even be the second best. Not dogging him but my team has played against him and held him in check pretty much all game until the end, got a long td when the corner cramped. Daxton Chavez and Cam Jefferson are better in my opinion, Daxton is 6'4" 190 and runs a 4.5 and I believe he leads 1-5A in touchdowns even though he's been trippled the last few games. CJ is simply a weapon akin to Alvin Kamara. We also beat them 75-55 or whatever it was, it was 75-40 before the offense called the dogs off and they scored two touchdowns off of long catches when the DBs cramped. Dax also had 4 touchdowns and 200 something yards that game. Played like a grown man.

What current offers does he hold? I looked last week and couldn’t find many

Yea, I think Ben Taylor may end up being best qb in the state in two years. What he’s doing as a sophomore in 5a is unreal and I have been really impressed with Jackson the RB for Airline. All are exceptional. I’ve made post about each. But I don’t think Russell is getting the credit he deserves either. He had two tds and a 93 yard kick off return that game as well. Dax is for sure the better college prospect due to his size but they gonna play two different positions in college. North Louisiana doesn’t get enough love for the players they produce. Hell if LSU can just find any guy that can field and return punts, he’s worth a Scholarship at this point. Trent Taylor makes a living doing it every Sunday.

Not a 100% if he has any, I was told he’s taken a few trips to Miss. St. But I don’t know if they were official visits n I don’t think he has a commit-able offer at this point. But he appears to be on their radar. Might be a Trent Taylor La Tech type guy.
