Turner's offer of a Commission to the U.S. Naval Academy speaks highly to his leadership and academic record.

Awesome to see Turner coming to LSU. He will be an exciting player to have and hope to see some great things from him this year at WM and then at LSU.

He got hurt against Neville in week 2 with a high ankle sprain.
I like that he was injured and still played at a high level. Add on that he was also the quarterback of one of the top teams in the region = wonderful addition to our team. I know he won't play qb for the tigers but I like adding athletes with leadership abilities.

Same here. Glad you're a Tiger, Paul. Here's to an injury free career filled with great achievements.

Some may disagree with me, but this guy should be playing RB. He has excellent balance and strength. He showed some amazing cut backs in his youtube video. He just need to bulk up a little.

amazing how much talent comes out of that school. Not to mention their pipeline to lsu

At RB we have Ware, Hill and Hilliard.
He is talented enough, but we have more talented people at the RB position. He will end up in the slot and a KR/PR or defensive back KR/PR.

I agree but we are stacked at RB like another poster stated. Could he be our Brandon James? I like this kid in the slot or at scatback. Pretty pumped about this one.

Lester Earl, admit this makes you happy b/c it gives you a player to hate on down the road.
why would I hate on Turner? I've seen him in person. He is a great athlete.
i think he should be a RB or a safety.

He could play a Trindon role, but he could be better at it. Let's just put him at Slot Back until we see him on the field.
Fullbacks
Kellen Theriot 6-1 240 jr
Brandon Worle 6-0 240 fr
Kenny Hilliard 6-0 235 fr
Hybrid Fullbacks (Hester Type)
Stevan Ridley 6-0 230 sr
Alfred Blue 6-2 210 fr
Jeremy Hill 6-0 220 fr
Halfbacks
Mike Ford 5-10 215 so
Spencer Ware 5-10 220 fr
Terrance Magee 5-9 205 fr
Slot Back or whatever you want to say
Drayton Calhoun 6-0 185 so
Jakhari Gore 5-9 180 fr
Paul Turner 5-11 190 fr
*****
I base all of these projections on nothing since I am not connected with the program in any way. But you all know that, anyway.

I'm starting to think that Calhoun is a future attrition candidate

Me too, but dang his sr. year videos were just awesome. And I don't know anything about hs football (where he played, what system etc,) but he did some great things. And I will not take him off RB until someone shoots me or he plays elsewhere.
I feel like I keep getting slow played with the possibility of a straight, even though I know there is a flush-draw out there on the table...(poker reference).

He played for Tucker high school in pretty tough AAAA region. Tucker ran a triple option when he was there.
They won state his senior year.

I love when we get talented kids that excel academically. Congrats Paul Turner on your committment and your 4.0 grade point average. Awesome!!! Glad you are a Tiger.

Paul reminds me of a young Kevin Faulk. Kevin was awesome at tailback but could of played the slot with his hands. ....my father used to say that Faulk had the best hands of any receiver that he had seen. Welcome Paul, LSU can't get to many bright athletes.
