You had stated a couple of weeks ago that Woodward was going after someone big for the offensive side of the ball and if he landed him our offensive recruiting would take off. See quotes below. Is this still a possibility? Is the coach you are talking about still in play? Is it a name that keeps being leaked in the media? Thanks

If we get whom Woody is trying to Woo. Our class will explode, especially on offensive side....

quote:
He will be terminated immediately after season, will not coach bowl team if eligible, Woodward has his new man, hopefully said coach leaves his team and comes, if so LSU offense will explode, with right DC starting in year one will be really high chance of playoff caliber team.

Last comment I ll say on coaching hire. Woody puts lots and lots of emphasis on INTELLIGENT coaches. See Baseball hire. Just sayin

Description sounds like he wants Riley. I’m cool with that hire, but I’ll be surprised if we pull him.

Herman was big on saying he was a Mensa guy. It turned out he was a menses guy. He also played LSU to get more cash from Tejas.

No thanks.

LSU is not hiring a guy who dicked them over and got fired.

Riley would make sense. May be a challenge if he makes the playoff though.

Has to be Riley as my guess. Highly successful, mastermind OC, young, high coaching ceiling still, great recruiter.

That’s my guess also, and my #1…not that anyone gives a shite lol. LR with a legit DC and we’ll wreck shite for years to come.

There are many smokescreen. Being lit, the true contender isn't even being mentioned much. They won't release till after season.

It's still the offensive guy you mentioned a while back?

Dang. How do you feel it is trending for LSU? Is he currently a college HC?

Not a lot of guys fit your criteria in NCAA right now as a homerun hire. It's obviously someone who probably has a successful team right now which is why we need to wait to hire them. He is in the NCAA right? My guess is Rhule, Riley, kinda drawing a blank past this. Maybe Dabo but he isn't an offensive mastermind? TBH, these seem like wishful thinking. Not sure why they'd want to leave considering their positions already.

Is it a head coach somewhere? NFL or NCAA? Not a lot to work with without more hints.

I never said that about Kim Mulkey, but I guarantee nether of those 2 are coming to coach LSU.

No way Riley leaves Oklahoma if they are in the CFP.

My guess is Kiffin since Ole Miss will be in a lesser bowl.

My 2nd guess is Eric Bieniemy, but him leaving Kansas City during their season would be a stretch.
