Btw, I heard the SEC has some weird transfer rules. Is there a chance Rodney could play at Oregon but not LSU?

There is a math requirement for incoming JUCO transfers to the SEC that other conferences do not require. It's why Phil Loadholt went to Oklahoma instead of LSU. He couldn't have gone to any SEC school without taking an additional class.

I remember watching him dominate at OU and feeling so damn salty about it.

We could've used that dude!

Do you know what Rodney’s issues are?

That he's already been to, and left, two different JUCOs.

He's not good at football or school.

At least we're not the only school offering two scholarships to land him.

This does make me feel a little better.

Yes, being eligible will be an issue for him.

The only way this makes Oregon a legit contender is that Oregon could get Rodney in but LSU couldn’t.

I still don’t see how we get Ish but this may be the only angle.

I'm sure he's a 1 and done guy at whatever school he goes to. Meaning if we give him a scholarship, he'll just fail out anyway.

It does suck to waste a spot on him though. At least it wouldn't be for 4 years.

Those of you who are calling out Project P, you really underestimate Saban and what he’s capable of doing. He’s got Emmert in his back pocket and there’s never any consequences or really any chance of him getting investigated. Saban is playing chess and everyone else is playing checkers. If you don’t think so, you haven’t been paying attention.

It's also possible that it's a "if we aren't going to take your brother at Alabama, don't go to LSU" favor called in by Saban.

I'm confused. This implies Ishmael Sopsher would be the one "granting" the favor. Why would he grant the favor to Saban of not going to LSU when Saban wouldn't grant him the favor of offering his a scholarship? And why would he grant that favor of not going to the one school (LSU) that did a long time ago?

Trade off, they can have him and save a scholarship and we get his brother and save a scholarship. Win win

I think the point is he would go to Bama. That much we can tell because if the only hang up is Rodney and he loves LSU, why not sign? So, Nick is probably someone he respects. This is a lot conjecture to begin with and mostly a waste of time. However, Nick could be negative recruiting LSU and suggesting how Oregon is favorable, if he isn’t going to Bama. Or maybe Nick knows Rodney can’t into LSU and can at Oregon?

Bottom line: who the hell knows? He is 90% a Tiger unless for some reason Rodney can play at Oregon and not LSU or Bama offers Rodney. I really honestly can’t see another way.
