2026 LSU Tigers Football Commits
-Last year at this time LSU had the #1 class and same time this year same thing.
-Most important portal addition per Shea would be Bernard Gooden from USF.

-DT was the biggest need, Added WR talent with Nic Anderson & Barion Brown.
-DB Help with Cooley , NC State had a really great room last year and they all transferred
-Biggest addition for Shea is Mansoor Delane, he hasn't been injured and practiced in all 15 practices.
-Still believe that DJ Pickett will start day one.
-Delane will go against the #1 WR if asking Shea.
How are the Tigers handling this recruiting cycle after last year?
-This class is built on all LA kids an border states. It feels a bit more stable. If you can finish top 5 and lock down Louisiana, that's all LSU wants.

-Immanuel Iheanacho is one that Brad Davis is going after. Maryland the home state school then Oregon the 1B. Everyone is after this kid including the SEC.
-Not that sure LSU get shim but he has an OV scheduled so now they're in the conversation.

-Lamar Brown has gone back and forth saying now he wants to play defensive line. Shea says that he will play d-line. That's what he tells A&M & LSU.
-He is now the #1 ATH in the country

-Shea sticking with the Tigers, like that he is taking his time to make a decision instead of picking LSU first.
What is the QB room looking like?

-All hands on deck for Bowe Bentley!
-Final three of Oklahoma, LSU & UGA.
-Bowe would've started following college football around 2017 so he has seen Joe Burrow and Jayden Daniels. Especially being a Texas kid so he's local.
How to the Tigers hold onto Tristan Keys?
-The worry meter is always there. Shea has some insight as his is from Hattiesburg himself. Two and a half hour drive to BR. LSU is the closest school to him.
-Been around LSU since the 8th grade. LSU's director of recruiting Donovan Tate is also from Hattiesburg.
-Recruited the area very well last cycles with PJ Woodland &
Tyler Miller
-Seems like a different situation that DK Moore, geography, NIL , pedigree is all there at LSU.

Our fans always think we are going to have the best class ever this year (every year). LA talent is the best ever etc etc
And every year I point it out, don’t expect all these kids to stick. We will always finish ranked 5-10 after it’s all said and done. We can’t compete against UGA,bama, Texas,Oregon or osu in recruiting. Same old same old

Well, history refutes that statement.

I don't really care if we do finish #1. We can finish #7 and have a better class for LSU's sake than a #1 class would potentially be. All that i mean by that is if you get enough talent and fill your needs properly, it doesn't have to be top 3 or 4 to be successful.
LSU did that one year under Miles. I don't remember the year, but if you looked at rankings, it was underwhelming. But the class was really really good. They filled every need they had and then some. I don't remember the year, so i don't remember how it ultimately panned out, but the Miles years were good and would have been better if he had stayed out of the offense.

Don’t do this. Recruiting commitments mean absolutely nothing now. Not even after they sign. All depends on who shows up in the fall….

Ummm. "Doing this" is kind of the point of this board.

How bout just a simple "thanks for the information, Cap." This is why we can't have nice things.

LSU recruiting classes always seem to have a few constants
A long time commit flipping late
A top Louisiana kid who doesn't want to stay home
And a Mississippi commit who doesn't stick

You know what was new last time? A 20-something clam from a P5 school screwing a billionaire and buying our #1 recruit - the kid who would have made the class #1.
That's hasn't been a constant - maybe it will be in the future?

Nothing new on Boobie I assume?
