We will see but you are one of the most pessimistic posters here so I’m gonna hold off on assuming it’s done

Let's put a pin in all this right now. Don't really have much more info than what I've given at the moment. I'll post an update when I find out more.

Personally, I'd only take 3 receivers in this class and take 4 next year.

That’s all well and good but it still doesn’t get to the meat of the issue: Are these recruits aware that the mental health of dozens of balding, middle aged men from Erath to Napoleonville and St George to Belle Chase depends on them riding with LSU ?

I could see Burton ending up there. He has family in the area, their depth chart, or lack thereof, was on full display last Saturday, so early playing time is easily available and he took a unofficial there over Thanksgiving, which I believe caught our coaches by surprise.

Nailed it. Its been obvious for awhile Burton is gone.

Yeah, it's just so obvious Jermaine Burton is going to pass up playing for the most prolific offense in SEC history. there's just no way he sticks to his commitment.

Of course he could still flip to Georgia, but that's just fricking stupid to say he's unquestionably going to UGA.

This is just the crazy time of recruiting. Happens every year.
If we are being honest with ourselves, none of the rumors are good news for us if true. Again happens every year but looking back we lose some of them in these scenarios. Now most of it just smoke, however, generally when there's this smoke, there's a fire close by and it's spreading fast.
I have no doubt we will put out a great majority of these fires but some will get us. Things can change fast and that means they could flip back again instantly. Just enjoy the ride and make it through Thursday and reevaluate from there.

To play the catastrophic role, Burch was never in the barn so it wouldn't be a loss per say. If we miss it sucks but should've been expected no matter the sunshine pumped previously.
Burton is completely unexpected, even info out he apologized to the staff for the Thanksgiving visit, so if he's there again, if, he's gone, at least following the actions. We could replace him but not better. I think he's right behind Fleming and Demas as the best wr in the class. You don't just pick up the phone and replace that.
Jarrett has always flirted and there's always smoke regarding someone. I personally believe he's more solid than rumors suggest but history has shown us that if Bama is involved, be afraid or at the very least concerned. One year and one victory isn't changing all the history. Again I believe most of it is purely smoke and Jarrett will stick but I admit I wish it were someone other than Bama barking up the tree. Again, we aren't just picking up the phone and replacing a 5 star with better. That's bullshite. We can replace him but t would still be a loss on paper.
Moore is completely blindsiding. I read every insiders stuff and this isn't a push out. He's doing this on his own and thinking of pushing back to Feb. That's not good either. Put it all together and all of our wrs have or are flirting elsewhere. Thats not a positive development. Sure we can replace them all but we aren't just racking up another elite wr class in a month.
Still believe we will be fine through all this buts it's not the way I preferred to spend these last few days of a relatively quiet and positive cycle. What makes all of it bad for us is the dropping recruits thing. It just gives fire to those that will never be happy.
It's fun though and I love this time of year. Enjoy fellas(and ladies if here)

The developments of the last few weeks are puzzling. Several decommits (all highly regarded 4*), two commits (a 4* and a 3*), and now hearing of more bad news. Yet, we are to believe this is all part of some grand plan.

Im just thinking of the story of Icarus lol.

Confidence is high on Dumervil and Webb so we had to drop some weight. But if these other highly sought after prospects don’t sign on Dec 18 and push to Feb I just don’t understand why we’d tell our hard core commits for a while to piss off.

Yeah it's just recruiting. When Bama was smashing everyone they still lost recruits sometimes.

I think people have this idea that we shouldn't lose anyone we want because the team is doing so well. No matter what you'll win some and lose some.

I'll start this off with I WAS WRONG (yeah go ahead and take your shots here for those that have been just chomping at the bit for me to say it)

Here's is what I now know...

We did ask him to compromise and not take a visit to someone we saw as a threat. I thought it was only USC and Clemson based on what I had been told... UGA was one we didn't want him to take, too. I jumped the gun there, and I apologize. Was just feeling some confidence after the in-home. The staff no longer feels like we lead, and we will turn focus to replacementa. I'm not sure what the hell Kirby is offering/selling down there, but Jesus it must be good is all I got right now.

That’s just silly. LSU was getting stud receivers running that crap offense.
