Here's the Oregon State-Washington game, cut up just for the plays featuring the Washington offense vs. Oregon State's defense.

Speights wears #1.

Lol

He’s a two time first team all conference player in the pac 10

I guess if he’d committed to Usc or Florida he’d be great huh? Gotta love this board and the negativity

Exactly my thoughts lol. He doesn't seem like he can shed blocks at all, which is really weird because he was a former D-Line commit. I don't think he'll be an All-SEC type guy but if he can replace Baskerville that's still huge. Kinda reminds me of Brillo Cox.

He has an interesting running stance but looks to be a solid catch tackler. I don't think he starts with LSU running more of a 3-3-5 with EDGE, Penn, and Perkins but he should be able to play the mike or will.

Ain't going to lie I have wondered what would have happened if we had gotten Penix to transfer here instead of Daniels.

Yeah… that would have been cool.

Idk. I like Jayden, but I like Penix more. Despite always being 1 autocorrect from
Embarrassment saying that.

He doesn't have a big ceiling. That's what they think which is why he didn't go to NFL. He's been very good his entire career but NFL has concerns if he has a greater NFL ceiling. Likely wants to show he can do it in the conference closest thing to NFL to improve his stock.

I think he’s pretty good in coverage clearly. Looks like he needs work on his angles to the ball though.

But he’s pretty good at recognizing pass and getting to his spot.

He’ll be a starter here for sure.

It is NOT negativity, its fact. I watched 5 minutes and he is not fast sideline to sideline (No Devin White or Perkins) but he is instinctive and in on some plays, but not elite.

Its a fair observation. He has 308 tackles in a shitty conference but he is experienced and will be a contributor for LSU, as he and Penn patrol inside and leave Perkins freed up to attack from the outside, jack or spy

Just watching the UW game, he's decent in coverage but shaky in run game. When he wasn't taking himself out of the play, he was having trouble shedding blocks. Hopefully, it was just that game. However, I trust that the staff knows exactly what they're doing.

Heavy tackler. Sure tackler. Didn’t see anyone break tackles on him or surge forward. Covered well and showed good hips. M Smith will draw a double team every play. The other three Oline will have to block the other three D linemen and at least 2 other LBs. Point is he will likely not be blocked or if so it will be one on one after a do dad type chip on an o lineman. He won’t see many power run blocking schemes. He will be fine.
