Really hoping Ray Parker becomes a star LT.

He's got the perfect skill set to develop into one.

Why will it be fun?

Johnson is doing an OV at OSU June 21 with his buddies from Cincy.

Bill Green, an OSU insider, said last night he is more confident Paris is in OSU's class and said Henry is etched in stone to OSU. I'm not saying I ever etch things in stone but I don't think the chances are close to as good as some on here are making them either

um did you expect him not to take a OV to OSU?

I am really the only one on this entire board who thinks we land Paris.

People seem to think LSU has a chance of flipping Paris Johnson. Wonder where all that’s coming from?

Coming from Paris Johnson saying he likes LSU and UGA and making officials there. He is really close with the other 2 cincy kids, and at one point Thomas didn't have an offer to OSU. When he didn't have that offer, I think the 3 of them kind of went on the visiting spree to SEC country semi "forcing" OSU's hand to offer Thomas.

I think once Thomas was offered, the 3 are/were going to OSU.

OSU needs tackles as badly as LSU does honestly as well. We have a couple good ones now and for the next year or so, but not for 2020 and beyond

Why will next weekend be fun then? he isn't going to decommit from OSU and commit to LSU 3 weeks before his OV to OSU. Therefore, next weekend won't be too eventful in my mind

So, in the year after next, in the best case scenario, the oline to save us will start 3 true freshmen and 2 redshirt freshmen?

Can't wait.

one reason for Alabama dominance has been they know most of,our plays pre snap.

I know this is very tinfoil-hat, but I am very suspicious about how they’ve been able to predict our plays and even the hard snap count. See last year’s game...on the final drive, one of bama’s DT’s jumped early on every hard snap in our final drive of the game. He was only flagged offsides once, but it is anomalous that the players would know the hard snap count on every single play of that drive.

I know bama has analyzed the hell out of us, but they’ve had more success predicting our plays than they’ve had against any other team. Ole Miss, A&M, and Auburn have beat bama during seasons where it’s reasonable to claim that their teams were less talented than LSU. My point is simply that it is statistically unlikely that one team would so handily anticipate every play of a single opponent—I’ve seen bama defenses perfectly sell out against the plays we’ve run, even though we’ve had four different OC’s during that period—Stud, Cameron, Ensminger, and Canada. I’m not saying that any of those coaches were better playcallers than bama coaches, but I think it is statistically unlikely to have the exact same degree of success against multiple OC’s with no drop off from one coach to the next.

Basically, I’m saying...is there a mole somewhere in or close to the program? In all likelihood, the answer is “no,” but if there were, I think Woodward is a clever enough guy to be able to root out any possible leaks.

Sorry for detailing the thread. I’ve just been suspicious about the information warfare since I’ve seen the CBS crew show a bama staff member stealing signs / play calls during a broadcast (lip-reading him, he was correctly calling “run” or “pass” from the booth to someone wearing a headset before every snap). I don’t recall the specific game so I can’t find the clip to which I’m referring, but Saban has admitted to sign-stealing in the past, although he claims that bama doesn’t do it. LINK. And for those that would argue that stealing signals is fair game...if that were true, then Saban wouldn’t deny that bama does it.

You do know the root that Saban’s coaching tree sprung from right? From the man that brought about “Spygate.”

But then I also rememebered the new RS rule where you can play in 4 games and still RS.

I'm really hoping they are good enough to play a lot more than 4 games. I know we have a very experienced line coming back, but if these 2 are good enough they can take our Oline to the next level. Been a long time since we had a dominating oline.

There is truth in this. And on top of the disaster of 1/9/12 when our QB and RT played like they were dumped on Earth from Mars I suspected Bama had some additional help beyond the mere fact we had a conservative offense. I mean it came out later that Greg Williams dropped in on LSU practices and then consulted Bama on the side. A mole could have been part of it too.

And not just that game, last year and 2013 and 2015 come to mind. The one year with Canada going up against Bama's D he probably called some things even O was not expecting. But anytime else it went beyond our offense just being conservative. Anticipating snap counts is a giveaway the opponent knows more than they are leading on.

Yep. The Cheatriots and Devil Bill were caught red handed. I am sure Saban learned a thing or two from his mentor.

I believe Ray Parker will be the best player in this class, he’s got all the tools to be a superstar.

I hope they all pan out to be all Americans.

I’m still worried about our OL talent, strength, and development.

[quote]I’m sorry but no one of note is projecting this. It means nothing. A thread on tiger droppings isnt a projection unless you just like being disappointed. I hope we get Johnson and I’m not saying it can’t happen but we are talking about a 5 star tackle from Ohio that is currently committed to Ohio state. It’s more of a wish list.[/

EXACTLY!!

Until December or February, it's all a crap shoot.
