If we lose Alexander, Fehoko, and Lawrence we are screwed for next year.

Maybe Lawrence Big maybe. His conditioning seems bad.

Alexander isn't going anywhere! All 3 need more time. How do you know that we don't have some great players getting ready behind those guys anyway?

It's our secondary and LBers who played like crap in this game. Baskerville was very slow to the gap. They blocked up White and we didn't have Phillips. I have no idea where Stevens went but I miss that guy. He played well against Miami. We do need to replace some guys on the DL with this class though. I've been saying that for a long time.

OL looks like it will be ok. RB will be ok. And LB looks to be ok.

They would be playing if they had the capility of being great. It’s not like we have greatness in front of them.

When did a player have to be NFL ready to declare for the draft? Just look back the last few years and you'll see players declare almost automatically after their junior years. Examples from last year - Weathersby and Toliver.

To be honest, Toliver proved he is NFL ready as he imade the 53 man roster for the Bears, Weathersby not so much.

The 2019 class appears to be addressing all of the needs, besides passrushing LB/wDE.
The OL is doing better than expected when looking at it that 3 starters were replaced (Weathersby, Clapp and Ingram).
I didn’t get to watch all of the game. Did Chase get injured?
This was a tough game. It being Tebow day had the crowd pumped an extra level. Win as a team, L as a team. Don’t want to sound critical on the guys. There are areas of improvement at many areas. QB has made some UNBELIEVABLE plays. That fumble on 2nd drive and some of those sacks were killers. Not challenging the spot on 4th and 1, just kicking the fg seemed odd when there was mojo. Some drops by WRs. Missed tackles on D.
Proud of the team for their fight. 5-1 at this point is solid place to be. Next week will show us a lot.

Toliver was still undrafted. The point is that you never know what these kids will do until the deadline to declare. Draft projections mean nothing to them so assuming a player will comeback for his senior season isn't as set in stone as people are thinking. I personally would be shocked if Fehoko and Lawrence come back. You can add Damien Lewis to the list of guys who will declare early too.

5 - OL'
5 - DL
4 - LB
3 - RB
2 - QB
3 - WR
5 - DB

Yes I know that's 27 players - make it work. Bama does!

Unless they want to go undrafted they will be back.

Honestly, I think losing Chaisson has had drastic effects. We just don’t have that reliable freak speed rusher without him.

I have been critical of Philips’s tendency to over pursue in the backfield, but after this game I think it’s clear he also makes a huge impact on the overall effectiveness of the defense. It will be rough sledding any game he is missing.

As I stated previously, going undrafted has not been a deterrent for our underclassmen in the past.

Not every player who is capable of being great plays as a freshman.

It's not just last year. You can go back for years and years and see guys leaving early and getting drafted late or not at all. It's what players at Lsu do. They come here to play 3 years and leave. I know we have the exceptions but for the most part players leave early

You forgot LS...

But seriously, add a TE, and drop to 1 QB, 2 RB, 4 DB, and that gives you 25.
