What happened to them this year????

They are letting all of their top talent leave the state.

They are usually great at recruiting, looks like they have taken a huge hit this year.

Hicks is from Texas
Anderson has grade issues, got a late offer and wouldn't be a suprise if he still ends up there
Matt James they lead but like their chances with Sentreal henderson
Heard and Ware were non options after they got Rod Smith at RB.You'll see next year that they still rule OHIO.Great class in Ohio next year.Limited #'s this year as well.
You are right though, their class is a bit down compared to past year'.

They were all really pissed when Urban stole Floyd from them. That's the one that they really wanted.

Seantrel is their big target now.

From what buckeye people are saying inside;

We will probably land James and Henderson
Anderson as said before is a grade issue thing
They are saying Hicks is a maybe (I think he goes to Texas)
I still believe Floyd ends up at OSU; rumblings that he may end up there as of today but who knows

You guys already have a bunch of highly touted OTs on campus, so that would be surprise me if you got both of those two.

Roby Committed today. that makes 17. Plan is to take 20. I'm hearing that the focus right now is on Henderson, James, Bryant, and Hicks.

I think the coaches are planning on James and bryant for sure, hoping for 1 of the other 2. Personally I think Henderson goes to USC now that Kiffin has arrived, and I'm confident Hicks is going to UT, so they'll either carry a scholly to next year or make a late offer to grab someone.

As a Buckeye fan, not getting Henderson makes this a really bad recruiting class.

Have you heard anything about James going to Duke? As crazy as it sounds, Scout had him listed as a Duke commitment for 1 day in December.

Nothing about Duke, but Kelly is pushing hard to get him back to ND. What I've heard is James is down to OSU, UND, UF in that order.

Also heard kelly is doing an in home visit with Henderson as soon as today, and rumors are picking up that he silent verballed to OSU when the Carroll to Seattle announcement was going down.

This has been a tumultuous recruiting year, first Floyd's a solid UF, then Meyer quits and he's a solid OSU. Then he talked to Meyer and my guys say he was told "100% certain Meyer will coach next year" and commits to UF. Then it looked like it was a toss up on Henderson until all the coaching crap broke out in La-La land then it was pretty much him opening everything back up. Same with James and UND, but I think he ends up there anyway.

Oh and I think the experts are underrating a lot of the guys.

From what I hear Rod Smith is THE best running back in the country (it's so hard to compare IMO) and J. Turner was the 2nd best DE until he had some discipline stuff which dropped him out of the 100 somehow Guy was one of only 2 juniors (think the other was Henderson) to be a HS AA last year.

A few of our guys were injured this year and aren't getting any love.

in 2011, OSU will have the best DE class in the country; you can book that now.

Buckeye you are right about the DE class next year. Some great guys in Ohio. You guys have a good class and i have no worries when it comes to you guy's recruiting. You'll be more than fine.We could push you guys aat DE if we get Rasco and Reed but you guys probably edge us out.Really like Steve Miller.

I'd take Dyer over him to start with...

I'm hearing more and more rumors about floyd being in touch with the OSU recruitors. Possible steal attempt coming. Typically Tressel won't have his minions contact a recruit like this. Maybe floyd is rethinking his decision.

I also heard that James scored a 27 on the ACT. Not sure on the minimum to get into ND, but I think he's good. I look for him to sign there.

OSU offered Dominique Brown (WR) a schollie recently. This raises a few questions. That would be 4 WR in this class (James Louis, Corey Brown, Tyrone Williams) and with Corey Brown ('09 DB, not the same Corey Brown) moving to WR next year, people are saying that Louis may open back up his recruitment, or Williams might not qualify. I'll try to update what I hear.

Louis' twitter says something about rooming with Henderson next year. And I just got word that Handerson's ACT didn't qualify.

could be that Louis is decommitting and he and Henderson are going somewhere else. Could also be that Henderson is retaking the ACT, i've heard that too.

From another post:

LINK

I am going to the University of Florida because that is where I want to go. I have a great relationship with Urban Meyer and I am a Gator. A lot of schools tried to hit me with the religion pitch but not Florida, not at all and that's how it is and I am not going to change my mind. I have talked to a bunch of my friends and they think this is something that started on one of the Ohio State boards. People are trying to get back at me for not going to Ohio State and not going to their team but I know what I am and that is a Florida Gator."

Oh I didn't think we'd get him from UF this late, OSU never gets kids from SEC schools esp. this late. I just thought it was strange because Tressel's MO is that once you commit, he'll dial down the attempts to sway a kid. I'd been hearing (still am hearing) that they are still full on after Floyd.

Related news: James Louis is trying to commit to UF again (3rd time since verballing to OSU). If he gets a qualifying offer from UF he's gone, seems like he's really hell bent on being a Gator (can't fault him) and has little interest on settling for OSU. Further proof to my theory that Henderson and Louis both end up Gators (I have little proof that Henderson goes to UF, but my gut is telling me).
