Because he wants to stay home and play for LSU.
Way closer for family and friends.

So he is flipping to LSU, but if Marshal has one decent passing game, he changes his mind while laying around this Sunday.....

I'm not understanding this guy... Does he not understand that neither Auburn nor LSU are going to pass the ball just to get a commitment here? Both teams are going to do what it takes to win.

And LSU has obviously passed the ball more this year, but Zach Mettenberger leaves and we don't know how good or bad Anthony Jennings is going to be. And LSU passed the ball so much because they had playmakers out wide that will likely have good NFL careers. Auburn would have possibly done the same thing if we had a playmakers of that caliber out wide. Sammie Coates is a boss, and he got the ball a lot this year, but he's not as good as D'haquille Williams.

I assume when you all but know you're a 1-and-done, you want to go to the place you feel will display your talents the best. He probably just feels (right or wrong; this isn't a prediction) a bad Anthony Jennings is better than "knowing" Auburn is going to run 80+% of the time.

Sounds like you are recruiting for Auburn here....
Your kind is not welcomed here

So if Auburn has 1 good passing game he will commit? Sound like a Gump much?

1. While we don't know how good Jennings or Harris will be, he does know that Marshall isn't a good passing QB.

2. Go watch film on Malachi Dupre, Speedy Noil and Trey Quinn. Mix them with D'Haquille and we have more weapons out wide next year than this year. D'haquille on Auburn = most attention in passing game. D'haquille on LSU = less focus because other three can kill you as well

I would put A. Jennings or Brandon Harris up against Nick Marshall at this point. Aub run/pass ratio will be much higher (run) than LSU ... from what I've seen this season. Nick Marshall does not make Gus want to throw more. Cam "Heisman" Newton couldn't convince Gus to do so very much.

Technically he's already committed, but with how up and down this recruitment has been I could see Gus solidifying his commitment this weekend with a solid game plan. Not to say Gus is game planning to impress a recruit.

Nick Marshall has had more than one decent passing game already.

And, listen, I don't know if you know, but D'haquille Williams didn't even watch the first 3 Auburn games of the season, and nobody knows how much he's seen since. This will be his first visit to Auburn in a while and it's at the biggest game of, arguably, this college football season so far. The atmosphere and Nick Marshall proving he can pass against Alabama might keep him.

Anyways, I don't see it happening, he will suit up for LSU.

Check my post history, though. I've been spreading that he wasn't solid for some time now. Even when LSU fans had given up hope. My inside source at Auburn was right. It sucks, but it is what it is.

If Gus lets Marshall throw more, expect Dix and Collins to have big days in the secondary.

And to him changing his mind to one game, TT. You're better than that. There was doom and gloom for a while on here about Quille but that's ONLY because of his safety playing in BR due to his personal circumstances. No one ever doubted that he wanted to play here. It's just a matter of if it would have been a safe or smart move.

Neither Jennings nor Harris has thrown a college pass.

I just don't see how we can get 4 five star receivers. (I am counting quin as a 5 star).

That's crazy. Does anyone worry that one of those might want to showcase their talents elsewhere instead of being in such a deep WR recruiting class?

I definitely see some transfers from players currently on the roster.
