The team meeting had nothing at all to do with recruiting or Gunner in any fashion. First workouts start tomorrow at 6 am. It was just a general meeting with all the guys back on campus after winter break. Coach Kelly said some areas he personally wants to improve on and areas he wants to see the team improve. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Unless my roommate is keeping it underwraps intentionally (which I do not expect for a number of different reasons, though I will admit it's a possibility, I guess), the source was wrong.
But note, I do think Gunner is still at ND, for the latter part of my original post.

Early enrollees don't sign letters of intent, because they are actually doing what the letter of intent obligates them to do, go to the school on the paper. Once he steps into a classroom he's considered a student athlete. If he walks into ND tomorrow and crosses some magic line, this is over. If not, it can drag out until NSD, when he has to sign an LOI somewhere.

How about in the last week?
Like I said, the kid wasn't going to play anytime soon anyway.
Rivers will likely be Mett's backup. Not sure where Randall falls in there.
But I'm not about to wish the kid well. I don't want anything bad to happen to him by any means but that's a chicken shite way of "decommitting" in my book. Just don't show up. Have fun with Brian Kelly screaming at you.
