This recruiting class doesn't seem to have a whole lot to offer. The juco ranks has more prospects. We need to get on that. Then turn our attention to 2021.

Courtland Ford and Camron Jackson both will play OT. We are going hard after Sedrick Van Pran who would be a Center. Millier Meriweather Lewis at Guard, Marcus Dumervil, Brady Ward, Marlon Martinez, Andrew Raym at OT. I think they will land about 5 linemen Ford, Jackson, Lewis, Pran, another name, and be completely fine going forward. It’s very early and we have a really good start.

Really??? OMG man! It's April.

We'll get Ford and Jackson at OT and have a real good shot at Merriweather at OG and Van Pran at OC.

There is NOTHING wrong with that pull. Damn strong.

As for JUCOs, what are they, at like a 50-50 success rate, at best? Not ideal.

My concerns are quality at left tackle. No one in last year's class is ready to start at LT.

This year Cam Jackson is a long term project as a tackle. Courtland Ford looks more like a RT to me.

Dare Rosenthal is such a pivotal guy. If he can improve enough to nail down that LT spot moving forward I will feel much better and allow for maturation of guys like Wire, Parker, Jackson, etc.

O has done fine bringing in more bodies along the Oline, but LSU needs more quality at tackle to take the next step.

Would like to see Dare take LT and Bump Charles to RT and get Deculus out of there. His lateral movement is not suited for tackle.

Truer words have never been spoken.

Not sure these exist. Usually the top few OCs are 3*...

I hope all of them are doing agility drills and quickness drills a couple of hours per day. Not just strength and pushing weights.

i was thinking Cortland Ford at LT and Marcus Dumerville at RT

Big Cam Jackson is sold on playing DLine, and that is where he was recruited to play

I don't disagree with you on that point. There's still time though.

Unless Perry and one more move inside, there is a dearth at guard and center.

I assume that van Pran and two more PG will settle that in this class.

OL is the hardest position to turn around in one or 2 seasons. You need strength more than any other position and footwork/technique more than most people think. Those take a couple of years of development usually so it’s rarely a one recruiting class fix.

Isaiah Walker is scheduled to visit this weekend and they also have Paris Johnson visiting next month for an official. It will be his 2nd visit to LSU this spring.

so who knows if cam Jackson is going to be an OT or a DT? I see differing opinions here and he is listed as a DT on the recruiting page. the opinion in this thread is the first I've ever heard about him being an OT.

I heard he is now open to playing OL and has been working out on that side of the ball this spring, he's a legit 6'6.

Shea does a good job breaking down the class so far.
