Arkansas starting left guard Patrick Kutas entering transfer portal
quote:

Arkansas football lost an important piece of its offensive line for 2025 on Thursday as starting left guard Patrick Kutas announced plans to enter the transfer portal. According to Matt Zenitz of 247Sports, the 6-5, 313-pound, junior will officially be leaving Fayetteville after three seasons as a starter.

Kutas was sidelined for most of this season with a back injury suffered in the second practice of fall camp. He missed the first seven games of the season before making his debut against Mississippi State on Oct. 26. He worked with Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman to preserve his redshirt for this season, so he would have two seasons of eligibility left.

He didn't quit on the team mid-season. I'm ok with a player advocating to sit out an extra game or two earlier in the season while recovering from an injury then coming back and playing at the end of the season than a player quitting on the team early on and demanding a redshirt. I have no problems with this move.

That makes me wonder if Hilton is elligible for a redshirt after missing over half the season? hmm

Plenty of talent in the portal.

Let's just hope they get the top guys they go after.

I think lsu needs to bring in an experienced starting tackle and probably center.

Chalky, seems like a nice get but injuries always scare me away! I have a sneaky suspicion that Jones will return and slide over to one guard spot where that would seem to be his natural NFL position. Then one of the hot shot new recruits will be an instant starter at the other guard. Weston Davis will be our starter at one OL with Bordelon possibly at other. But we need an explosive OT and my all means a starting experienced center from the portal!

1 - A&M
2 - Bama
3 - Florida
4 - Vanderbilt
5 - Oklahoma

Whoops! One game too many, should have just sat out the A&M game.

That would be relevant if he hadn't already redshirted.
