Talk about it in The Bunker
If there is one young man that fans all across the Southeast have been keeping their eye on, it is five-star running back Michael Dyer from Little Rock Christian high school.
Dyer is 5-foot-8, 201 pounds, with a 4.4 40-yard dash and has a host of offers.
It was reported before his game last night that he had committed to Auburn, but that is not the case. He has narrowed his list down to a few schools, which he'll visit, before making a decision.
Dyer will visit the schools on his final list before making a decision.
"I've got a list of final schools now." Dyer said. "My uncle and I are going through it, and we will visit them, and will make a decision on how I feel about those schools. There are a couple of schools I feel highly about, and there are a couple I don't, and Auburn is one of those schools that I really enjoy."
Dyer went on to name the schools he is planning on visiting.
"I plan on going ahead and visiting these schools and trying to get this out of the way as soon as possible." said Dyer. "I plan on visiting Tennessee, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Auburn, and Florida. Those will probably be the only stops that I make."
He did make it clear that Auburn is his current favorite, but said he likes some others as well.
"Auburn is at the top of my list." said Dyer. "They are without a doubt my top school right now. Ole Miss is a pretty good school too. I enjoy myself when I go down there, and I am looking forward to taking another visit. I want to visit the other schools as well that I mentioned and talk to their coaches and staff, and make a decision from there."
Dyer's team, Little Rock Christian played Oak Grove last night and won 28-22.
Dyer had 24 carries for 188 yards, four touchdowns, with his longest run being 24 yards and an average of 7.8 YPC. He played some defense as well, where he five tackles, with two of those being sacks, and one being the game winning tackle near the goal line as time expired in the game.
He talked a bit about playing defense.
"I was just going out and playing, trying to play more of a roll in part of the team." said Dyer. "Depending on situations, I will get to go in sometimes and play defense, and that is a good thing."
He also talked about the overall play of the team.
"We all came out and played pretty good." said Dyer. "There are a couple of mistakes we have to correct, but we played hard as a team. Our lineman did a terrific job of opening up holes, and I always had a good hole to run through, so I really appreciate my linemen."
Michael Dyer and Little Rock Christian will next be in action on September 11 as they travel to take on Morrilton.

Dont count on it padnuh. Dyer has the perfect build and skills for the SEC game. He will do well there. Fortunately he will be surrounded by a bunch of no talent assclowns at Auburn so his success wont hurt us too much.

Maybe yes, maybe no. From what I can tell I'd love for us to sign Dyer. He could be a good back, but he is a RB. There isn't a coach in the SEC who would trade his LOI for LOI of an equally ranked DT or LT. Linemen win in the SEC and win NC. Look at the last few NC winners. Look at Arkansas with McFadden, Jones, and Hillis. Give me the linemen.

Which really is odd. If Arkansas recruited him harder; with his entire family wanting him at Arkansas you'd assume that he'd be a heavy Arkansas lean. I don't understand Petrino's hands off policy regarding Dyer.
Some in the Auburn camp (per Bham radio) think that Chizik will be done in 2 years and that they will be able to get Petrino back to Auburn. So, maybe Petrino is thinking the same thing and recruiting for Auburn.
