The article doesn't seen to jive with the attention-grabbing headlines. I sense a retraction/correction coming.

My theory ( and remember this is only my theory ) is that Petrino is trying to prove to him early that he is not bigger than the team

Well Petrino likes to toss the ball all around the field. .I think RB is a second thought in his offense? dunno?

I do hope you remember that bet.

i remembered it months ago when you were gloating about it every day thinking you were getting Lache and at least one of the other two. I remembered it a month after that when you crawled in your little hole and didn't talk about it again. I still remember it now that you think you're hot shite again and I'll remember it when he signs with Arkie.

I'm wondering the same thing.

The headline says verbal commit to Auburn, but in the video clip, Dyer says that Auburn is #1 with Arkansas and Tennessee in his top 3.

That web page is awful. I can't read the article.

Good pick up for the barn.

My god you've got a hot head.

ETA: Nice revisionist history as well. You get a golden star.

I wouldn't say that. They're different backs and it might make LS more comfortable to have a top tier back to take stress off him. His interest is genuine in Auburn from all accounts. I think he ends up at LSU but don't say it like AU has no chance to land him...

I don't see why not. Lache realizes he won't carry the ball more than 10-15 times a game throughout most of his career. He has proven to be friendly with Dyer and Lattimore as well. Besides, any coach can sell the Bush/White line to a recruit and have it work. McKnight and Marc Tyler were equally hyped as Dyer and Lache, and they both ended up at USC in 2007.

However, I do agree with your theory that Lache will ultimately end up at LSU, but I don't think that Dyer will be the reason.

After watching the interview of Dyer; it sounds more along the lines of saying Auburn is his favorite instead of a verbal commitment.

FWIW

The reporter merely asked him who his "top two" were, and then said "or top one". He just said Auburn to that question.

Could be. I have thought this a few times but i dont have the clout with this board to post an assumption like that w/o getting run off.

Yep, my Arky boys are already laughing and calling BS. Sounds like a reporter forgot to edit the title of his not-so-news-worthy article. Oops!!!

I think this is the same news station that reported Tuberville to Arkansas as well.

I'm officially calling shenanigans.

ETA: Per Arkansas fans on the SEC Rant; this news site has gotten a bad reputation for carrying rumors. These include:

Tuberville to Arkansas
Nutt to LSU
Benton to transfer to Arkansas
and now Dyer committing to Auburn

This Fox station is notorious for posting bad news, like "Tuberville to Arkansas".

Watch Dyer not give a commitment

Auburn is #1 and that is month old news.
