NCAA doing away with national letter of intent

Is this to allow them to install caps, rules, etc around nil stuff? Or just limit their legal exposure.

I know the conferences are assessing how they can legally qualify them as employees, and in then in turn collectively bargain to install caps, provide Healthcare (already is), etc.

Good article. The reason LOIs are going away is because it required a year at the school…the NCAA gutted that by allowing athletes to get out of it. Now it will be a scholarship agreement for 1 semester I assume.

Why does everything have to change so damn much so shortly. The schools can’t even move fast enough for this shite.

No, there are no proposed caps…just shifting around the roles of collectives I guess. Difficult to know. I think profit sharing is an extra check per month next year…may combine that and the collective’s NIL monthly check in the future.
