I completely agree with the thoughts behind your post and in a righteous world things would work out that way. We don't live in a righteous world.
As far as this,
As far as this,
quote:Many kids get this comeuppance yearly when their coach, head or position/recruiter, decides to jet to the next job. How do you think those Alabama kids felt after signing to play for Saban and then he retires after? Can't hold the kids to a set of rules we don't hold the "responsible" ones to. The coaches break contracts to flip jobs and many times force the new job to pay the buyout. And we don't blink an eye about it as it's common, accepted practice. The flipping and leaving schools scrambling late is not a new concept. It went on long before NIL came into the picture.
I hope at some point the tables are turned and they are left "at the altar" and will see how it feels.

honestly i dont think these kids owe anything to these colleges prior to attending and then again most of them wouldn't be getting into college if they weren't athletes. This kind of behavior is kind of what is to be expected with the circumstances the recruits find themselves in.

Asking players to make emotional choices in a business environment is dumb.
If Perk gets a big offer from a school that can use him we have to match if we have a plan for him.
If Durham gets offered big money we have to pay him.
If we want Campbell and Jones to play another year, pay them.
NIL made it a business, these young guys may have to give up what they may want for what makes financial sense

Both cost about as much to attend as it does to go to LSU.
Uhhh you need to check that again guy… LSUs OOS tuition today is less that Episcopal was 15 years ago. Both Kincaid and Episcopal are over $35k.
