Tdp is going to start this year too. Emery has all the talent in the world. He needs to put it together.

Emery couldn't hit a hole the size of driving insert car through it. The dude has no vision at all. Not disagreeing he wasn't used great but a lot of problems he has is because he never developed enough. He's slow to hit holes even when they're open. I know our OL isn't great but there has been many times where he had more than big enough holes to go through and he looks slow as hell hitting them because he's complacent. You don't see his burst consistently enough because he doesn't how to hit holes fast enough.
If you told me that dude ran a 4.4 - 4.3 in the 40 I'd say you're crazy because he's so slow getting his gears going. Once he gets to the second level you can see his talent. I hope he has taken the next step in development this year he has been a raging disappointment for LSU.

It's not only ensminger's fault.
John emery hasn't done much when he has had opportunities.
The year burrow was here he had opportunities and didn't do much.

Hopefully this won't be like having to face Landon Collins for 3 to 4 years where he's an impactful player on teams that win national championships.

He needs to be put into space and Ensminger & cregg had no concept of that once Brady left.
So much so that Brady wasn’t going to keep Cregg around if he came back.
And we all know Ensminger was forced out.

I'm hoping he can take the next step but I think it's more 50/50 for him. Ensminger was for sure part of his problem but as Chalky said I think his development is partly on himself. This was the same guy laughing his arse off at our team while Auburn was smoking us.
It could be some of his issues were a confidence problem because Ensminger was putting him into bad positions. I guess we'll see how he develops this year. I hope he blows up to his potential.

Put on the Vandy game last year. He was the best player on the field.
He got 2 carries the next week in a loss to Missouri.
Total ineptness on the coaching staff
Play calling was bad
The usage was bad

In fairness, he had lasik eye surgery this offseason. Hope his vision literally improves and it shows on the field this year.
He’s a 5* talent and it was a great get at the time. He’ll be needed to take some pressure off the QB. If we rely on TDP, who’s about average eg Darrel Williams, I don’t think it’ll be good enougb
