"I would say right now, LSU has the inside track for Marlon Brown."

Meh, I'm still not buying this for some reason.

I was just about to post this and I just can't believe it...I think we get Randle and then its Andre Debose or no other WR since Benton is hopefully coming in. Just don't see this kid here.

Also, if he were to come here would he play bball also??? Any word on if Coach Trent Johnson likes him too?

Maybe he is going to do both and hit it off with Johnson.

I think that would be the most plausible. Is he good enough just to get a BB scholarship and play both sports? That would be nice.

Cant do that. If someone is on scholly and plays football it has to be a football scholarship and counts against the 25/85 limit.

Seriously? What's the reasoning for that? If he was considered a walkon and still went against the eight five why can't he be on basketball scholarship. This is done in the opposite order all the time.

Not sure what you are asking.

Walkons dont count agaisnt the 85/25 unless they earn a scholly.

You cant have a kid on "basketball scholarship" that plays on the football team. If you could, think about how this rule would be abused.
You would have 6'4 280 lb DTs signing golf and swimming schollarships and finish last place in golf and swimming and be a starting DT for the football team. If you could, it would give you tons of scholarships to work with as far as football goes. They have a 85/25 limit for a reason and letting kids sign basketball or other sport scholarships and play football would nullify the 85/25 limit.

If we get Randle, will we even bother signing any other WRs? Especially if Benton qualifies in JAN?

I feel certain that Randle and Debose are numbers 1 & 2 on LSU's list so yes they would take both, even if Bell and Wooten both jump ship.

I've read all along that Wooten's #1 choice had been Florida. I think he's caught up in numbers there and UF is waiting on other before they offer Wooten.

So are ya'll saying wherever Debose goes (UF or LSU), Wooten goes the other way?

I like Debose, he's an all-purpose player. Could be another Percy Harvin or in the sense of our team Trindon Holliday.

to me Brown is overrated

hes got a lot of potential and all but he is going to have a huge transition from high school to college and its going to take him a while before he becomes an impact player

certainly not on the instant impact level of RR or Debose

visiting FL this weekend for the LSU game... FL would reportedly put the press on Wooten if they miss out on Debose (and one other smaller WR who slips my mind).

will be interesting to see what happens there...could be a lot of moving going on
