Nah! Pratt wants to enhance his stock for the draft. Sitting watching Nuss is not going to help him.

Maybe USC can pick him up since poor loser Caleb Williams is going pro and they whooped their arse last year

I would assume we’re going to the transfer portal for a QB regardless of how good Nuss is/isn’t. If he gets hurt, we’ll have nothing but Freshmen/Redshirt Freshmen behind him.

Alabama. Watch.
If I had to guess, Holstein and Lonergan will hit the portal anyways.

Competition will be brought in for Nuss
I'm really curious to see how Rickie Collins develops. I think a lot of people are sleeping on him.

The rumors in Boca (his home town) is Tennessee, Oregon and Bama. Sounding like Bama has no problem with a mass exodus of QB's on their roster.

I would love to have Pratt next year over Nuss.
Goodness gracious this is a terrible take. For one thing, while pratt is good, he's not exactly facing a murderer's row of opponents. He's in a tier of QB that you'd love to bring in if you're a P5 team without any QBs on roster that you like. But he's not in the tier of QB for whom a P5 team runs off a guy they like.
And Nuss is not just a guy this staff likes, he's a guy this staff LOVES. We liked him so much that we were willing to let our highest rated QB in years walk to a division rival. There was a lot of talk this offseason from a lot of people who know their shite that LSU may have been entering the year with the two best QBs in the conference. Nuss is not your average backup; he's a guy who can step in and be a stud right away. They're not going to run a guy like that off for a guy like Pratt.
And all of that is even ignoring the human and appearance element of it all. Nuss has stuck around through thick and thin, and I ***promise*** you we recruited him HARD this past offseason to keep him out of the portal - because there was no shortage of major programs that wouldve been over the moon to pry him away from us. You don't pull out all the stops to keep a kid around and then push him out the very next offseason, before he starts a single game. You especially don't do that when his family has legit football connections. Because not only is it a dick move to a kid who has been loyal as frick, it is TOUGH to explain to recruits if the outcome is anything other than Pratt playing like a superstar and nussmeier sucking arse wherever he winds.
Again: Terrible, terrible take.

Sure, but it'll be for a depth guy, not for a starter. There is 0.0 chance that we recruit someone over the top of nuss. Because if you do that, then you have to recruit 2 guys, because nuss is GONE.

Most of the top programs welcome transfer QBs.
They welcome transfer QBs when (a) the transfer is a bonafide star (e.g. caleb williams) or (b) they're not confident in anybody in their current QB room (e.g. Tyler Buchner, sam hartmann).
Go ahead and try to name a program that has had a guy who they profess to absolutely love waiting in the wings after getting multiple years of seasoning and then gone ahead and recruited a non-superstar level transfer QB over top of him.

Sorry, but if the coaches don't have faith in Nuss, you bring someone in and let Nuss compete. If he can't win the job, he's not who you need him to be. Just 2 years ago the same people wanting the job handed to Nuss wanted the job handed to Myles Brennan. I'll trust the coaches.

This comes across like wish-casting. He hasn't consistently been a stud when he gets a shot. He's been inconsistent, stud or dud.
I genuinely hope the game starts to slow down for him, because he has the arm talent. He just has work to do under the helmet if he wants to be make noise in the SEC.
