A lot of people would look at that Vandy commit and scoff, but they shouldn’t today. Barton Simmons is running their player evals and he’s done a really good job of identifying guys who have SEC-level ability who are either raw or have measurables that are a bit outside of elite levels. He’s done a solid job rebuilding that roster with guys who they can develop and compete with. They were a different team late in the season.
Pimpton seems to fit that mold. He’s raw, but with his frame, hands and wingspan, he has a lot of upside. He’s a smart take in a season without a class cap. I hope we seal the deal.

Probably so, but in a capped class, you would at least be processing another TE commit to make room for him. We won’t have to do that this year, which is great.
