Looks like we’ve backed off of Nigel Pack:

Jaron Pierre Jr seems to almost be a lock to UK. Would have loved him here. Not sure who our last pieces will be but seems like they may be role types

I think we are good on bigs, got to like what we got coming in and coming back. The improvement of Collins and Reed during the offseason and Rob Miller during the season was a welcome sign from coach Wilson. Throw in the portal additions and we may have something there. I expect the bigs to do their jobs effectively next year.
Now the guard play has definitely left much too be desired under CMM, and he has not been able to effectively install his offense to any success in his time here. The ball movement has been way too stagnant and predictable I expect that too change with Thomas as the trigger man.
Our last remaking spots should be used for pursuing capable guards preferably who can defend. Considering the off ball guards still available, I hope we did our due diligence in an attempt to retain VJ Miller and gave him a strong arse offer because he could play and with 3 years of eligibility left is something you could build around.
Chandler Jackson should be on the top of the list for our coaching staff, and hopefully a hidden gem like Dji Bailey.

Sounds like we’re definitely gonna shift our attention towards guards and wings to surround Dedan with.

Bailey was not a hidden gem. He was subpar offensively and mediocre on defense. In fact, I would say he covered up too many minutes from VJ
I will say, I think Miller wants to go somewhere that he is taking a lot of shots and he is a focal point. He just wouldn’t be that here. Not trying to be an arse, but if he wanted to come back and fit into the team game we could be really really good. He is that instant offense we MIGHT miss. But he would have to play within the scheme and I don’t think he has any interest in that

Have you heard any names thrown around? I did some looking and I don’t see us linked to anyone, but I know the staff is quiet

Nope check the update I just posted in the Josh jefferson thread. Our staff is keeping everything hush hush right now. But hey… they keep reeling them in and I’m fine with it lol

But at this point it sounds like we’re going after bigger fish than the ones I have posted on the contacts list

I disagree with you about Bailey, he was an experienced versatile player, who played with energy, and solid fundamentals. He just wasn't a threat from deep, especially in the corner. But there is a reason that when we were down Chest, and Reed CMM he started him at the 4
Now as far as taking minutes from VJ I definitely agree with you that VJ should have played more, but those minutes should have cut into an aggregate of players not just Bailey.

Will it? You take 3 games away from sec play and he averaged 4 rebounds a game
Play 10 feet off of him because he is incapable of shooting and he cannot dribble

For someone that was whining repeatedly earlier in this thread about people not being positive about LSU’s transfers and taking negativity elsewhere, this is certainly a fun post.
Your immense desire to be taken seriously as a basketball mind while deepthroating everything the 14-40 staff is currently doing is pretty fun too.

He wasn't whining about people not being positive about transfers even though it doesn’t make any sense to be negative. He was not happy with d-bags who are only coming to this thread to trash McMahon and flooding the discussion with their troll post.

I'm not sure Huff is even 5'10". He sure looks small on TV.He isn't scared to shoot but not sure we want another small guard.

So me saying that change needed to be made from our previous players, therefore our 6 and 6 PF leaving does not hurt as much as some of you basketball haters want it to, means I’m sucking off McMahon
It is wild that if someone has a positive take on the direction of our program they are known as “deepthroating the staff”. Matt McMahon must win this year or he is gone. I am really really sorry for the derangement syndrome he has caused some of you, and the wax statues of Wade in the closet are sitting there just melting. Truly, I am sorry. But McMahon is doing great this offseason, and if you care at all about LSU basketball should want the team to win. It blows my mind how many people WANT LSU to lose

Love this. Can’t believe we’re finally getting serious about basketball.

Is that what happened in the post I quoted? Because what I remember reading was you cherry picking stats to try to justify your hope that a player that isn’t even at lsu anymore turns out not to be as good a player as others are saying he is.
But either way, it definitely had absolutely nothing to do with the incoming lsu transfer class, which you bled all over this thread about wanting to talk about because you watched 45 minutes of YouTube videos.

No, your failed attempts at preventing other people from talking about how bad of a coach McMahon is means you’re sucking off McMahon.

It’s even more wild that someone that desperately wants people to think he knows about basketball has a positive take on the direction of a 14-40 staff.

That’s ambiguous and subjective. Must win what? Even mcpuffs gives the same empty platitudes pretending to hold him accountable.

Wade hasn’t even been mentioned and is now coaching at another power program. No one is talking about him coming back to lsu any longer, but you mediocrity loving mcmen keep bringing up his name. Who is deranged in this situation, exactly?

Based on what? His previous recruiting class rankings have been posted several times. You can continue attempting to spin why those were irrelevant and this one really matters. It just further proves my point.

Yes, it’s the message board posters’ fault that lsu is 14-40 in the sec in the last 3 seasons. That makes perfect sense.
