Believe it or not, but I actually miss some of my Teasip chums from Austin, just less so than I do Waterloo Records, Amy's Ice Cream, Continental Club, Antones, HEB Central Market,etc..

Sometimes I actually try and defend UT as a good school and generally get scoffed at by these people bc "public" school is where red necks or people from Virginia go to school.

I agree, NCAA scholarship limitations will always leave plenty of Cali, Tex, and Fla kids for others to sign.

Ga, Oh, La, and Miss, all also produce more than their best schools can sign too.

Houston's fun if you like concrete, mexican restaurants, and oil companies.

Dallas is OK if you like snooty girls who marry rich and don't consider you worth talking to if you don't drive the newest BMW/Benz available.

Austin if fun if you like hippies and, as has been discussed previously, unwarranted Texas pride.

San Antonio is cool if you like....well....Mexico.

My daughter lives in TX, my g/f lives in TX, I USED to live in TX; but that shite is funny.

And yes, TX fans and those who live in TX in general (not all, but most) DO think they are better than us. And this is NOT about fan or State pride. They just "think" they're better. frick 'em. That's my motto!!!
