He was visiting Ole Miss for the Bama game per 247 and the board has been quiet on him.

Take this for what it’s worth but I am very close to one of the teachers at MUS and the word is that LSU has not been showing him the love at school like others. So he’s starting to cool on us. Said he’s still committed but that if things don’t change with his recruitment he could reopen.

That wouldn’t make much since considering we have a safeties and CB coach that should be recruiting him. Is being short on DB’s and about to lose a starting center fielder in baseball should be the perfect storm for Hampton. I’m hoping we are still pursuing some other corners in this class

Vol, he mentioned in an article that he wanted to take all his visits and sign in Feburary. Oregeron has not allowed players who are committed but choose not to sign in December to still keep their spot in the class in the previous year. If he doesn't sign in December, will LSU move on like they have in recent history under Oregeron? The only exceptions has been top 50 guys..

He is one we would wait for, but are definitely pushing a December decision. We'll see if he actually holds out til February. My guess is he will sign in December

His future is in baseball and if he chooses Texas over LSU that’s just not very smart. That is if he makes it to campus
