Definitely - let’s call him up .
Great parents- think they definitely wanted him to go to LSU.
Maybe he could bring WR Garrett Wilson with him too

I'm saying if the starter has been selected and a player is in the same class, he has to make a choice.
Burrow was not going to be the starter so he moved.
I have not kept up with Baldwin, but maybe since the coach that recruited him is no longer there, he wants to move closer to home.
It appears that Brennan has the edge for the next two seasons. If Baldwin makes the choice, he will have to compete with several talented recruits to ever win the job at LSU.
With Brady running the offense, I don't expect recruiting a quarterback will be difficult.

He went to Lake Travis. That school puts out college QBs like it's nothing.
Baker also went there.

Brady is not yet running the offense.
He is more of a receivers coach this year
I think he has helped put in alot of the plays just isnt going to be calling the game.

I feel you on that but I have a feeling it’s gonna be a co-coordinator type deal. That’s just me

quote:As stated already his mom graduated from LSU. His mom and his grandparents are from Ferriday, Louisiana. The grandmother taught at what was Huntington Academy in Ferriday, but is now Delta Charter. The LSU/Louisiana connection is there. I don't know if he comes here or not, but if he wants too, I wouldn't say no.
was this the kid with a family connection to LSU?

What’s the mother or grandmothers maiden name?
Nevermind. She was a McNew.

Yes, from Ferriday La. His Grandfather played on the winiest team in the 50's. They won 55 games straight . I think it may still have the record .

I guess O didn’t want to ruffle any feathers of current players/commits.

My late uncle Neil Minor played on those great Ferriday teams!

Article I just read from after their spring this year says he's still not 100%, but put him as the backup QB still.
They didnt even have a spring game because they had so many injured players.

Why would he want to waste a spot when you have Burrow, Brennan, Parrish, and two stud recruits already committed. We don’t need another Qb.

Because he may be better than one or maybe most of them?
It’s not without risk, but if you think he’s better than what you’ve got you have to seriously consider it. Which it appears O did.
Remember, just because you have numbers at a position doesn’t mean any of them are worth a damn. Other than Burrow nobody (including Brennan) has proved that he can win games in the SEC.
Brandon Harris was higher rated than pretty much every QB either on the roster or currently committed and he was terrible.

Smart didnt let him throw the ball because he sucked.
When did Smart tell you that? And you honestly believe this 5 star QB, with one of the highest ratings ever for a QB, can't throw the ball and sucks? Yet the facts show that although "Smart did't let him throw", he completed 27 of 39 passes for 329 yards, 4TDs, 0 Ints and a 69.2 completion percentage. His QB rating was 173.7.
Since you said Miles Brennan will be LSU's starter, you obviously feel he is a better QB than Fields, right? Therefore you must feel he can pass, right? He doesn't suck right? So how are you coming up with Fields can't throw and Miles can? Fields sucks but Miles doesn't. What is you conclusions based on? Surely not their college results? Mile's freshman numbers? He completed 14 0f 24 passes for 182 yards, 1 TD, 2 Ints and a 58.3 completion percentage. His QB rating was 119.1. So it couldn't be based on college. By the way do you believe O didn't let Brennan throw the ball because he sucked?
Come on man! What do you have against Fields? Everything I have read about him is he is an excellent QB. He just happened to be behind an all SEC type QB who led his team to an SEC East title and the playoffs championship as a freshman. Miles wasn't.
You remind me of the guy I had a debate with early in the season last year about Kyler Murray and Will Grier. He was claiming Grier was a much better QB than Murray. That he wasn't impressed with Murray. Well the rest is history. Murray led his team to the playoffs, won the Heisman and was the first player taken in the NFL draft. Grier? WV went 8-4 and he was selected in the 3rd round of the draft, the 5th QB selected.
