no kidding. i think this could seriously be an issue. for any disappointment we fans have in Russell Shephard's performance, we owe him forever for unifying our 2009 class. that kid is a real leader. his efforts obviously achieved good results. obviously his recent 'outburst' was a little worrying but i don't think it speaks to his character as a whole.

Probably just a common courtesy not to use your home state school for the sake of suspense and 15 minutes of fame.

I don't see how a Texas fan should be very upset over this news.

From what I know about Hunter, no he wouldn't jump at a Texas offer. Never know with a Texas kid though.

I think he still a lock for FSU, his dad was a stud there!
Except for when he was covering Peerless Price in the 1st BCSNCG.

It sort of blows my mind that someone who played in that game now has a kid getting ready to go to college or makes me feel old

I'm sure they are out there, just not the #1 HS player in country. How many kids does Trent Richardson have? Just imagine all the HS recruits each year that have kids we don't know about.

The only reason I think we have a shot at this kid is because I feel like we have no chance.

I was certain that Landon Collins was coming (due to our continually awarded defensive backfield, coaching, and momentum that the LSU has, and his proximity to home) and that Gunner was surely the future at QB (surely he wouldn't decommit and switch to yet another team).

I think it was worse seeing Deion Sanders, Ken Griffey Jr. and Barry Sanders kids all out there. Made me feel really old and I'm only 25

yeah but they had all been pros for years in 1998. They were adults. This kid was at FSU when I was cheering them on against UT. What year was Mario born?

Dang it, dang it, dang it! FSU needs to call a doctor, it's been over 4 hours!

The younger Edwards was born during his father's senior year at Pascagoula High, and spent much of his early childhood living with his grandmother, Ruth Chambers, while Mario Sr. was in college.
I'll say MEJ was born between 1994-95.
