I think what is being referenced is that these top programs will do larger than normal 'cuts' on players underperforming in order to bring larger amounts of potential down the line...
If 6 guys in last years class are less than what you hoped...why not cut them and bring in 6 more this year??

This is nothing like the NFL. Nothing like it.
College football is set up to shuffle the same 10 teams through every playoff, make those programs richer, and ensure that those programs sign almost every single top recruit.

Yeah--i know exactly what they were saying.
My point is that it's far easier said than done to just "bring in 6 extra guys this year". 6 extra is 31 guys. Even when LSU was recruiting at a consistent top 5 level in the country, we still weren't even getting to 25 guys in each class. What makes you think we could consistently get to 31?? The fact is that, if we'd been trying to do that, we'd have had to bring in 6 guys who weren't actually talented enough to make the cut. And that's a team that was top 5 in recruiting! Think about all the other teams.
Bottom line: It's hard enough to sign 25 guys at your desired talent level. Aside from maybe 1-3 schools at the VERY top, bringing in 30+ guys just isn't realistic, even if you were allowed to do so and wanted to do so. You can't sign 30 good recruits just by deciding to do it--you've actually gotta convince 30 good recruits to come to your school.

Saban already does it.
They do not mass process.

Because 18-22 yo's aren't the most rational groups on the planet.
NIL should benefit all 85 players, not just the stars.

Saban, and most coaches feel the same way you do....and I concur.

Locker rooms are gonna be impossible to manage with guys making bank and guys making nothing. Then combine that with the guys making bank have some control of what goes on in the program lol its a recipe for disaster.
I can't wait to see this fall flat on everyone's face.

People have used this exact same phrase ever since the idea of NIL started being floated, and they’ve been wrong every single time. Maybe one day yall will realize that.

“What semi-pro team does your alma mater own?” is now the question.

In NFL terms, this would be that all contracts would be one year so, every year is free agency galore. Secondly, there is no draft. Go get who you want and as many #1 picks as you want. There is no salary cap. There is signing restrictions. Scary. I’m doubting that I renew my tickets going forward.

They should do away with NIL and pay for play, and go back to how the system was. The integrity of the college game is now gone, I mean playing for athletic scholarships was a good deal that included free room and board, free meals, tutor programs, and all kinds of perks. But it's out of hand now with paying these college HCs these exorbitant salaries to compete for NCs along with NIL. I don't know about the direction of college sports anymore.

Everyone felt they had a chance until Satan took over at Bama, then disciple Smart took over Gawja, and Jumbo @ Faggies.com

Kids don’t want an education that will change their life generationally. They want easy quick money to buy 24”rims on a foreign and gold teeth. This is what’s wrong with the entire situation we are further more hurting the kids.
