I wish we'd stop panicking everytime a target takes a damn visit. GW and Speedy both took OV's to A&M and nothing came of it. Kids are going to take visits.

that visit is so far off it will likely never happen. he commits at the all star game. Once that happens and its LSU, he won't be making that trip to TTown

I'm in the hopeful crowd. But am seriously concerned these guys have not committed to LSU or even publically indicated they favor LSU. I haven't seen anything from any of them that indicates they favor LSU. Based on their statements it would seem Speedy & Willis favors aTm, Dupre favors UCLA and LF favors no one. I am a bit pragmatic in that if they haven't committed, it is not guarantee.
This very special Louisiana crop of players could have been great PR for LSU had they chosen to commit early on. I believe had LF committed early, many of the others would have followed suit. It could have even put early pressure on CRob and Hootie to join the greatest class in LSU history. The fact that virtually all of our highly ranked Louisiana recruits have chosen to have their day in the sun, I believe has negatively impacted the great potential of this class. Of course that is assuming they are committing to LSU as many have claimed they will.
As someone else stated, it is strange that two 5 star Louisiana recruits have already pledged to play for Bama but none for LSU. We need more Dylan Moses. Just watch what type class a super recruit like Dylan will lead us to by pledgin early, all else remaining the same. LF is that type recruit and with his late commitment, if it is even to LSU, we would not have gotten the full effect of his commitment on this class. The same goes for Speedy, Willis and Dupre.
Sorry I am a bit long winded.

quote:I'm sure if the players want to verbally pledge, LSU would accept. I guess LSU does not pressure the players to commit until they are ready, unlike other schools, I guess. When players know where they want to go, they commit. Maybe the players are still weighing their options, and they have the right to do so. I hope LSU land all of these uncommitted players, but they will commit when they are ready, to LSU or other schools. If you look at ESPNs Top 150, there are quite a few uncommitted players. No need to panic.

Fournette has been to Bama like 4 times. I guess we should worry about him too right?
I speak with people who are in LF's "entourage" on a weekly basis, and they are pretty tight lipped. they won't give me any more info than his top 6, and to stay tuned on Jan 2nd
