So you want us to offer his friends so they can all play together?

The sky is falling!

OU offered White's teammate, LB Rashod Favors and he committed.

How long until Darius makes his committment?

I think this seals the deal with White. If Texas offered Favors we would have picked them both up on JR. day. I trust in Mack you don't offer 1 guy just to get another.

True. Perhaps UT didn't need a MLB. However, OU does need one.

I'm not quite sure what happened with Darius. He loved UT, not he roll his eyes when you ask him about them.

We'll take him. Just a matter of time.

Could not possibly agree more. There is no excuse for UT not being ranked #1 in the team rankings. Say, wait a minute.........

Recruiting is about getting talent. Mack does that in spades.

Bitch about actual coaching ability or coaching hires, but come on, lack of talent is not and will not ever be the downfall of the Longhorns.

Will, what's your opinion of White losing his 5* today?

I admit that I've never watched his film, and just bought into Ketch's line that he was the best from TX since Roy Williams.

horn23t, you are about as clueless as they come.

Your coach has one of the highest rated recruiting classes in the nation. Wake up and smell what you are shoveling.

White is now listed at 6'2". Earlier this summer, he was 6'4".

That may have something to do with White's drop in rankings.

I think the guy is going to be very good at the next level. They had him listed at 6'4 when he's really 6'2 and he didn't do well at a recent camp. But when you put this guy on the field he's unstoppable.39% of his catches go for touchdowns and he's been averaging 26 yards a catch for 2 years. This guy is the example of a 5* WR.

whatcha mean won't let him. if the guy is so weak he'd let others sway him from fulfilling his "dream" then he ain't mentally and emotionally tough enough for BCS football, even in the Big 12. besides texas doesn't need to spend two schollies for one player. he ain't that good.

No Mack isn't lazy, he's smart. Don't waste your time and effort on a guy who doesn't want to be at your school when you can get equal talent that wants to be a part of the program. Texas doesn't have to give away the farm to get players and besides the guy may not have the grades to make it at UT, the real reason OU ends up with some Texas players.

I don't think the strategy hurts as bad as you think. I would imagine that it also helps you get players. People know that they need to commit early, and if it's a Texas kid, they know that is the "place to be" right now. They could feel pressured to commit, knowing that if they don't, they might lose their chance.

True beyond true...Texas should play in the BCS Championship game every year based on talent alone...

Mack is not lazy he picks out 25 of the top 50 Texas players each year. He gets everyone he wants!

I usually fall on the M. Brown side of this argument, but the other day I was comparing what Mack does to what U. Meyer does at UF. Both talent rich states, but UF has FSU and Miami to contend with where UT is going up against OU and aTm.

Their situations are pretty similar, as far as being the biggest schools in their state and having their choice, but while Mack is a little quick to close out recruiting each year, UF fights for those other top notch recurits. If they didn't, they would have missed out on guys like Carlos Dunlap, Brandon Spikes, Percy Harvin, Jelani Jenkins, Xavier Nixon and Jon Bostic.

I guess its hard to question Mack's recruiting method, but you kind of think, "what could be?" if he stayed on guys like Loston, Shep, etc.

That being said, Screw UF and UT and GEAUX TIGERS
