Mack Brown is using portraits of Obama to recruit players?

In the office, Kirkpatrick noticed a photograph of Brown and President Obama. Brown told him that he had promised to put up the picture in the event of Obama’s election and that he had sent a text message to Obama after his victory, “You’re up on the wall.”

What's so funny about that? Brown and Obama can't be friends? Obama also visited Brown and the Horns and he was presented with a jersey. Is that funny too?
