LSU’s DB commits pitch Todd Harris on making elite secondary class even better

Vincent, Stevens and Delpit had been in Harris’ ear leading up to the Under Armour All-America Game. The time competing in practice together and bonding in between the sessions and game allowed for even more time to sell Harris on LSU.
Delpit, who will arrive on LSU’s campus later this week, spearheaded the efforts.
“We just want him to come be a part of DBU,” Delpit told SEC Country at the Under Armour All-America Game.
“We need as many (defensive backs) as we can to go chase that natty (national title). We need playmakers in the secondary. Me, him, JaCoby could be the best trio that anyone could ask for.”
“Todd would be a major piece to finishing off our secondary class,” said Vincent. “I’d simply ask him: ‘Why wouldn’t you join LSU?’ I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t be able to answer that question. Adding him … that would be great, so I’m still in his ear and I think we definitely have a shot. He listens, so I definitely believe we have a shot.”
“He’s right from the backyard,” said Delpit, the nation’s No. 13 cornerback and a New Orleans native. “I don’t know where else he could go. He can’t pull a Dylan (Moses) and go to Tuscaloosa. Tigers fans, I’m going to get him to LSU.”

“It shows me a lot,” Harris admitted. “It makes me want to play with them even more. But at the end of the day, I have to do what’s best for me. They are going to do their best job and say good things about the program. Do this, this and that, and it’s probably true. But at the end of the day, I have to do what’s best for me and what’s best for my family.”

Again, bama seems to be our major competition for Todd Harris' services.
How many can bama take this year? They are currently sitting at 26.
Furthermore Harris would encounter a lot more competition at bama and less playing time. They currently have 8 safeties on the roster with 2 commits whereas LSU has 5 safeties with 2 commits.

Well boys, might as well pack his bags for him. Chargers being passed out like tic tacs over there.

After watching Vincent interview him I got the vibe he was not coming to LSU. You could tell he felt really uncomfortable when Vincent was hinting at him to stay home at LSU. I've seen that before too many times. Especially when they are quick to say it will be a signing day decision. Unless something happens with Bama being full, I don't see LSU getting Harris.

How is playing at LSU, a school 20 minutes away...a school called DBU, NOT in you and your family's best interest? Everywhere his family goes in Plaquemine people will want to talk about Harris, how is he doing, how is the team, etc etc etc. He goes to Bama, no one will give a shite about them

My Plaquemine sauces tell me he's playing it very close to vest. No one knows what he's thinking. Makes me extremely nervous.

Why does Harris want to end up like Hootie instead of Jamal?

Saw this kid do an interview with Kary Vincent (LSU commit) at the under armor game and Todd Harris is not coming to LSU. It was quite evident in that interview.

Apparently we have to up the ante from a Dodge Charger.

not that it matters to him or anyone else, but that statement about the fam really rubs me the wrong way...especially when you consider closeness to home and LSUs success with DBs....how exactly would bama be better for you and your fam than lsu would be. Statements involving family are made about money, to enter the draft or not type shite..or about college distance from home... Id feel better if he just said im tryin to get those benefits...honestly after hearing that....Peace Bruh do you

If he doesn't come to LSU we won't be hurt that bad by it. We have 2 elite safety commits now and next year could get more with 3 elite Corners
