I really think we are good with what we have and should concentrate on getting one of the knock out we committed to Oregon, Texas, Bama and Florida schools.

If Anderson Daniels Thomas Hilton Parker and everyone makes it back next year…. I think one of them can begin to take the top off of teams with a stud speed demon freshman coming in as season moves along

I think Billiot makes a big jump next year. Agree, we probably need to get the best WR we possibly can from the portal, though. Those with our incoming freshmen should make a nice enough group.

And everybody seems to assume Taylor leaves after this year. But he’s not the typical TE who leaves after 3 years. Not that caliber athlete. Could benefit from getting stronger and working on his blocking to become more well-rounded.

I also think Berry is gonna be used heavily in the passing game next year, too. I think we’ll be fine as long as we do get that top guy from the portal.

I’ve read some respectable posters on On3 mention Sampson is very close to turning the corner. Of course many are impatient but there’s undeniable size and athleticism.

Billiot doesn’t have the speed to be a WR1, Sampson for whatever reason just hadn’t been able to put it together. OP is spot on we need a big portal signing at WR and the staff knows that.

Don't know he'll ever make a difference. Maybe Sampson makes a leap in year 3, like BTJ. Similar hype, measurables coming out of HS

I have a true realistic option that could be a WR1 for us. That is Nyckolas Harbor.

Harbor and Trey'Dez are basically the same player functionally.

No….one is a legit Olympic track star….the other is basketball player.

Treydez knows how to perfectly box out the corner and make play. We got a stud in him

Cam Coleman needs to get out of that dumpster fire at Auburn.

Lacy and Daniels are both out of eligibility and neither is an elite WR1 anyway.

Lacy would go in the 1st rd if Nussmeier completed even half of the deep balls he’s been open on

Because scouts don't watch tape and notice separation. They only care about the catches.

This is a horrendous take lol. Billiot ran a 10.27 100 meter in high school. That isn’t just good speed but elite speed the kid is a burner

It certainly adds weight when completed

He’s not the only one who has gotten open deep without getting the ball, but somehow this is a WR issue

I certainly think the play calling could improve and I think a guy like Zavion Thomas should play more, but when I guy is open it’s hard to blame anyone but the quarterback

Haven’t seen it in practices. Track speed doesn’t always translate when the pads are on.

There's a good one in the portal now already taking visits. The McCulley kid from Indiana. Of course we need the details of why he bailed on a rising Indiana squad.
I do agree about taking one. I'm vexed about the portal because it can be a hindrance to young development but if the young kids aren't developing quick enough it's too much a gamble to hope they develop in the spring. So far I'm not real impressed with Hanktons development history.

At 6’3 and his size too. Are we redshirting him bc he is raw? I know we are deeper at wideout although we have been hit with some injuries
