Well, that was complicated. Devall was a Louisiana kid(Bastrop, and not included in the OP, either) and a better fit for Bama's system. Kwon was the opposite.

Eh it’s hard to say “head to head”

If we’re beating them this bad “head to head” we should just go after all the players that have been making them this good.

The issue is Bama doesn’t need to win all the battles with out.

Recruiting Louisiana is a luxury. If they only snag a few their program will go on because they’re snagging a few from every where.

We need almost all the top LS prospects because that’s the bread and butter of our team.

Bama is beating us like a drum. Every year we are signing a half dozen guys whose number one choice was Bama, but Bama rejected them. Each of them “has a Bama offer”, so it looks like we won the battle, but that’s the way Bama recruits - they get 40 or 50 top notch guys to apply, and they sort through them to get the best 25. LSU is only able to get about 20 top notch guys, and several are Bama rejects. Many of those turn out very well, though. Kwon Alexander is the best example.

I believe Orgeron is closing the gap. He is doing it by outworking Saban, which is difficult. The longer Orgeron is here the better his classes are getting. It takes years to build the relationships with some kids. It’s about a 50/50 proposition that Orgeron has the number one class in 2020, and 2019 is looking good.

You left out so many. What about Alex Leatherwood, Kevin Harris, Marcus Banks, Tua and his brother, Paul Tyson, Byron Young, Christians Williams, Isiah Buggs, Raekwon Davis, Kendell Jones, Tony Brown,
Matt Womack, Hootie Jones and Denzel Devall?

We never offered Irv Smith and they never offered Justin Thomas.

How did you compile this info? Are you going off of scholarship offers?

Your giving us credit for some guys that they never really recruited. I’m cool with that but if your gonna use those parameters there are a ton of 5* guys that they signed that we offered but didn’t commit resources to.

Tony Brown? Cam Sims? I’m sure there are more missing from your list.

This needs to be a list where it comes down to signing day and LSU and Alabama are still in it. LSU either seen the writing on the wall or I believe LSU moved on from Marcus Banks once he decommitted

You're right...Devall was left off, too...and Tony Brown, as that other poster mentioned.

I think we're at less than 30% now in head-to-heads.

We're seeing one of the top 3 dynasties in College Football history. I'm waiting for a chink in Saban's armor. Maybe it started with 2nd loss to Clemson, not sure. But when/if we beat Saban(like beating Bear after 11 straight losses), then hopefully we make him retire and we'll be on an even playing field(or pass them up!) and quit seeing top La. recruits leave...

How many of these were Louisiana kids Lsu was fighting to keep and how many were Alabama kids that were considering leaving Alabama for LSU. That's the most important question. We are fighting to keep out best players home. Alabama really isn't. I88

bingo...saban having so much success here and then leaving to go there (after the dolphins) really fricked us...no joke.

Do we have a side by side comparison with recruiting ranking over this time frame?

Yes.

I suggest you open 247's composite team rankings in two windows and just view them side by side.

The last time we got an Alabama player that Bama wanted was JaMarcus Russell and guess who our coach was.

According to 247, Cordale Flott who is in this years class had an Alabama offer as did Neil Farrell in 2017 and Kwon Alexander in 2012.

According to 247, bama has offered exactly (287) prospects in this 2019 class.

I'll let you figure the rest out.

I agree on last post. Kids stupid enough to stand in line and hope they aren’t the ones left out.

Yeah, me, too...I hate doing taxes.

Just throwing out the facts, man...I follow them where they go. I honestly miss being young and naive, but it's impossible to turn back now.

Moses was going to LSU if Miles wasn’t fired and Savion Smith was on LSU roster so he doesn’t count.
