Emma Strood pitched against Katy in state regionals and beat Camryn Harrison (2024 yikes). Game 1 was 2-1 and game 2 was 3-1
Strood pitched 14 innings and gave up only 8 hits, 2 ER, 2 BB with 18 k’s against a very strong Katy lineup. 222 pitches 162 strikes
Clear Springs goes against Deer Park this week to go to state
Beth needs to get on Harrison of Katy. She is a stud pitcher and hitter and 2024 Impact Gold National team (I know it’s too early but still)

Of someone of potential interest, Macy Simmons (C) - Arizona State is in the portal. Was previously on the JWNT with Pleasants and was a top recruit.

I haven't heard that at all although a couple of people who use to be close to Pleasants in travel ball are throwing out these rumors on the softball forum. I heard Anna Jones may be transferring though.

357 do you have any information on Sophia Romero? She is a 2023 and is the younger sister of the great Romero sisters. She was on TikTok today showing her recruit mail from LSU and liking a bunch of Geaux Tigers comments and comments from Ali Kilponen.

I don’t have a lot of info on her specifically but I know LSU is definitely looking at her and her teammates on the athletic Mercado team (her travel ball team)
Beth will definitely see her this summer. We can’t offer 2023s officially until September 1st.
