At least we will have quite a few options, Bourg without doubt a stud defensively but Schlattman and Schulte both bring a pretty big bat. I can handle average defense if the offense can put up good numbers.
Taryn will likely snag that last OF spot, should really be a big contributor next season offensively.
I'm very anxious to see how the competition at catcher goes and to see adjustments to our hitters for next sesson
Word is we got some big time recruits visiting in September for the 2020 class, we already have 4 top 50 players for that class already.
And I'm curious to see where the 2018 class ends up, it's already ranked #8 but quite a few of the girls have had pretty impressive summers so we could land in the #6 or #7 spot.

She's a good player for sure and we are fortunate to get her on campus this fall. But what are you basing this "big contributor" on? I keep reading this and I have seen her play a handful of times. She is solid but not the best player we have signed out of Louisiana the last few years. What makes her different?

She really turned it on her senior year, has had a big summer. She changed things up a little bit mechanically and she looks much much better right now.
She was named to the Louisville Slugger Club for a reason. They bring some of the nations best hitters together and it's choosen by a panel of top softball analyst.
Plus when I talked to one of the assistants a few weeks ago, they hinted she likely will be the favorite for the other OF spot.
You think the staff is just not gonna play her because she is a Louisiana player?

LSU picked up a BIG commitment today, I was informed this evening. That is all I've been told, there will be an announcement soon from the girl and her family. Zero clue who it could be and what class.

You have great information but you have crossed the line several times. I would be careful because I know there are a lot of people trying to figure out who you are and how you are privy to so much inside information.

I try not to cross a line. I don't mean too.

Well Leftwich just posted on twitter that we added another player. Two players within the last 24 hours. Nobody seems to know who, their hasn't been any hints

Pretty sure Ncaa prohibits all sports from speaking about recruits until they're a certain age. Maybe someone else can provide language to the actual rule. Pretty sure this is why no sport/ coach will ever name recruits who commit. Just look at Coach O -He never says more than Hold That Tiger or baseball staff only posts "Box Bound" pictures

I know of certain players we are recruiting but none have announced they are committing to LSU. The one tonight must be a BIG one considering Beth even tweeted about it.
Guess we will have to wait for the girls to make an announcement. A lot of travel ball stuff right now, maybe it'll be announced really really soon.

I agree with Imperial... when you come on here and say a coach said or hinted something, that's crossing the line in my book. I think when you do say something that someone told you, you might want to reword how you say it so it doesn't look that a coach told you. I talk to college coaches (not just ours) all of the time and I don't talk about our/their players or playing time. That's why coaches come to my clinic because they know what's said between us, stays between us and I definitely don't talk to our coaches about our past, current, and future players, playing time, or strategies and I definitely don't post what I hear on this forum for sure.
But as I said before, you give a lot of good information... just have to be a lot more careful so you don't cross the line into privacy issues.
