There are rumors going around that LSU is adding Michaela Schlattman who played for Miami in the MAC conference.
Infielder who is 5'7 out of Illinois, played for the Beverly Bandits.

She hit .337 with 16 doubles 1 triple and 9 Homeruns as a sophomore

She was named NFCA Mideast Region 3rd Team.

In her two years she has 20 Home runs, 25 Doubles, 2 Triples!

Update: just recieved confirmation that she is officially an LSU Tiger!!! BOOM!

She fielded over .950 this year, she is average defensive but if she field over .960 with good offense I'm perfectly happy. She'll probably be better this coming year too.

She's much better than what her numbers look though. Florida State and Alabama tried to snag her as well.

Her offers out of HS included ASU, OSU, FSU, Kentucky, Illinois, Minnesota, California and Mizzou, that's all that I know of so far but she likely had others. She took officials to Michigan and Tennessee but I don't know If she was offered

Our 2nd baseman he last 2 years couldn't hit and probably fielded around .900.

Well she is no longer on their roster. Just haven't heard anything official from lsu. We still haven't heard anything official with Becca as well.

I heard she visited in December/January. It was in the working for quite some time.

And she is not on the roster either.................

Seems like a solid player, two years to play and from that photo, her eyes are not on the ball, but hitting in her peripheral vision...all you experts, IS THAT A PROBLEM?

I remember reading someone's analysis and it was about Bailey Landry's lack of focus and hitting slump...am I right? I think it was Mr. bhs's commentary...

I certainly do not pretend to know....Handicap 18?

She hit 11 homeruns her freshman year, very impressive. I imagine she'll improve this summer too. She hit the ball hard when she played Bama as well

Will be extremely interesting how everything shakes out next season, a lot of new faces

Does she redshirt next season or does softball have different transfer rules.

She should be able to come in and play immediately based off the situation, I am not sure how this works though and what the plans for her were. I imagine she can play immediately, she is transferring to a different conference, so I imagine that aren't restrictions.

Still waiting for LSU, they haven't made any official statements with our transfers.

Just got confirmation she will be on this years roster! BOOM!!!!

Good pickup, she brings a lot of power.

Leftwich is in Iowa and Dallas area lately recruiting too!

Also from speaking to a couple players recently many have been putting in a lot of extra work this offseason, the coaches hinted about new players coming in likely taking over if there aren't proper improvements and better work ethic

We needed to offer Rebecca Skains from LSUE. 2nd basemen who is a pure hitter with pop. Think she's bound for Southern Miss.

LSU already brought in another girl from juco

Becca Schulte was a top 5 Juco player who originally off to the PAC 12 for Oregon. She finished Juco with 100+ RBI's 26 homeruns 10+ doubles as well.

So we now have added Bourg back, Schultes and Schlattman

Originally surprised she went to Miami with much better offers, she had a very decorated travel ball scene with the Bandits.

Will be a heavy competition in the infield next season!

SS isn't her natural position, if she plays it'll be at 2B. Playing SS is much more difficult then playing 2B, I am sure her numbers will look much better playing 2B for a season instead of SS.

She does have a lot of pop in her bat, it'll be interesting to see who wins the 2B job. We add two players who definitely bring a big bat. Looking like offense is becoming a much bigger priority.
