Frank handled himself well. Without bashing scout or rivals he points out that some of them have not been scouting in LA in years! That is fraud. How can they charge for their sites and know less than the average fan?

Another factor to consider is how much influence some coaches (Saban, Meyer)have on a player's overall star rating. For example, Rivals might have a kid rated as a 3 star. He recieves an offer from Alabama, and the next day, hes a 5 star! He didn't get better overnight. But the arse kissers at Rival's think, "well if Nicky offered him, he must be damn good". Unfortunately, for us as LSU fans, our coach doesn't garner the same type of trust nationally. (Keep your "yeah but" statements to yourself, I agree with you) So the same kid could commit to LSU and affect our "overall class rating" with 3 stars, but let the same kid commit to Bama or, now, tOSU and he all of a sudden he is contributing 5 stars to their class.

Long story short, the tail is wagging the dog in the world of College football recruiting.

And he doesn't come to Louisiana in three years. He's never been to Pointe Coupee. He's never been to Baldwin. They don't even know where it is. So how can you possibly give a ranking to someone you've never seen?"

you are right, as well as the previous comments..
my biggest problem is with PLAYER DEVELOPMENT, not recruitment.

I rather we recruit for needs than for stars. There are a lot of teams that get ranked high every year for recruiting and they just to finish because they didnt't recruit to the team. They recruited for stars.

Pay attention to the whole process, it happens all the time. Very similar to offers a recruit recieves from conference opponents. Watch how quickly offers start pouring in from a certain conference once one school pulls the trigger.
