A 6-foot-4, 215-pound defender, Isaiah Land – a Buffalo, New York native – made 43 total tackles last season while playing in 12 games. He recorded five sacks in a single game against South Carolina State on Oct. 9, a Rattlers’ record.

Isaiah Land could be player LSU uses one of two final spots on

LSU is still in the hunt for transfers at tight end, offensive line and now it appears edge rusher. Recruiting coordinator Brian Polian said the coaching staff is preparing its options for how to address the roster with the final spots. If the NCAA does away with signing limits, the two spots remaining could go to retooling the roster later on.

“We’re prepared for all three scenarios. It’s unlikely that if the number was back to 25 initials, there are gonna be schools like us that say can I get back to the full 85 if I’m only allowed 25 initials,” Polian said during spring practice. “Trying to set our board, identify our needs, I feel like we’re in a really good place there.”

Land is coming off a strong season for Florida A&M in 2021, as he tallied 25.5 tackles for loss to go along with 19 sacks.

Assuming he would be rotating in with Ojulari. Imagine having to constantly block those two all game. No breaks

personally im hoping he goes back to famu to help the effort to continue to boost the level of comp in hbcu's; however after watching his all american teammate not get drafted last week I completely understand.

Agreed. Markquese Bell should have been drafted. The Cowboys signed a pretty good safety.

But you also have Trevor Penning from Norther Iowa get drafted first round. If you have the skills truly, the NFL will find them! There are some that go undrafted but through hard work make there way, but that’s rare really!

maason smith and J Roy blowing it up inside too. Our second strings may not have the ceilings as the first teamers do but all them fresh legs coming at you on rotation could be fun to watch.

Dude is under 200lb. He needs to put on 15-20 lbs of muscle in 3 months w/o pharmaceuticals.

Curious, was he invited to the Senior Bowl?

Sure. But as a situational pass rusher a la Marcel Brooks, I think he’ll be fine.

Hopefully he plays like Marcel Brooks on 3rd downs but with the chest of an LSU player.

Young man definitely can ball...

But to offer him now, could have had Mathis from TCU.
