Auburn's Keionte Scott will be in town Monday. He's a versatile DB who's played Nickel, Corner, and Safety for AU.

NC State's Tamarcus Cooley (quite a name) will be in town on Thursday. He's another guy who can play multiple positions, but he's also just a redshirt freshman. Would be a nice addition for likely multiple years.

Scott ON3
Cooley ON3

Scott is awful. No idea why he would be a take.

Cooley is exactly the type of player we need. 39 tackles 3 int 6 PD and a 80.8 PFF grade

From what I understand, they view him as a Nickel/Safety which he was graded highly at. Very bad at boundary.

Scott was a preseason 1st team all sec selection and preseason 3rd team all American coming into the 2024 season based on his play from 2022 and 2023 while playing in the nickel/slot role which is what he’d be coming here to play. He was bad playing boundary corner because he’s not a boundary corner

Isn't Verge's other son at ND? He isn't a safety is he?

in 2023 was CB18 in the SEC and the 2nd highest graded slot CB in the SEC that year.

in 2022 was CB16 in the SEC(right behind Terrion Arnold, Mehki Garner & Kamari Lassiter), and the 2nd highest graded slot CB in the SEC.

Seems like LSU could use that if he reverts back to that. In 2024 was absolutely terrible it looks like.

Premature bitching isn’t the only thing you do prematurely. The playoffs aren’t over and you’re not in the ops building to be privy to anything the coaches know. Bitching just to be bitching is a bitch move. It’s 2025. Congrats bitch.

When you take a guy who is all-conference and put him at a position he isn’t suited to play, he’s not going to look all-conference anymore.

Remember Duce Chestnut? He was an ideal Slot/Nickle CB and we threw him out on the boundary and he couldn’t hang. Then he quit. Back in a more ideal role (Safety) this season at Syracuse, he had 61 tackles, 40 solos, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble, 1 INT and 5 pass deflections. He didn’t suck, either. House just used him very, very poorly.

Cooley is legit. I'd take both.

Take Cooley…..

It seems a large number of LSU Portal Signees this year are just 1 year and done players:
(Players will Leave due to eligibility exhausted or potential draft prospect).

Cooley has more than 1 year remaining.

Auburn guy said he played both boundary and nickel this year and was bad at both

Said he got benched and barely saw the field the last 4 games
