He should take his visits. He's earned them.

Don't think that's anything in itself to be worried about.

Got to win this year show some offense. If they improve on the offense side of the ball everything will fall into place.

You do realize that this kid is a recruit? Though he is committed, he wants to go to the best situation for him. That may be LSU, maybe Oklahoma, or maybe bama. Let him enjoy his recruiting process

If instant playing time in front of you home school isn't enough to sway a recruit I don't know what is.

That's basically my feeling right now. I'll just wait until next December/January and see who we sign. Even if a recruit is considered a strong lean to LSU, it really means nothing until he signs the paper. Surtain, Jr proved this.

The defeatist attitude of the Rant has made its way to the recruiting board.

LSU had 23 players who committed and signed.

LSU had one player who never was committed who went to another team.

Who do the visitors to the recruiting board remember? Who do they constantly talk about? Who do they want to base the defeatist feelings on?

The ONE non-commit who signed with another school. Ya'll need to find something else to do with your time if one player affects you this much.

23 players vs 1 player ???

Surtain Jr was a huge loss in a year where he's arguably the best defensive player in the nation, we didn't take any CBs and may very well lose Fulton. He's not just another guy that we didn't get.

If Surtain had signed he would have been the only CB LSU took. He didn't, so LSU is moving Kelvin Joseph who was a 5-star cornerback before moving to safety back to cornerback.

LSU still got one cornerback and that is all they would have taken anyway. It's a loss but it is not that HUGE of a loss.

Why 5-star LSU CB commit Kelvin Joseph changed positions this year

“He’s playing safety this year and teams are still trying to avoid him,” said Kristopher Peters, an assistant at Scotlandville. “He’s been playing it all year and you just can’t hide from him at safety.”

There’s that, plus the fact Joseph is physically imposing for a junior defensive back and boasts 4.3-second speed in the 40-yard dash. That’s the recipe for a mismatch no matter what position he plays.

But, as the other poster mentioned above, if we fail to get 2 of the three backs we want and miss out on Sopsher, Lee, Palmer, Parker, etc... this place will figuratively burn.

If that happens the nega-O crowd will be happy because O won't make it out of 2019 being the HC at LSU.

Couldn't agree with you more, that is the worst recruiting loss we have had to Bama since Landon Collins. And considering Moses lived in BR until his senior year, I would actually say it will become the worst!

LSU has work to do with Tyrion Davis
I would rephrase this as:

Every school who wants Tyrion Davis has plenty of work to do

There's a reason it's called 'recruiting', implying activity. It doesn't end until LOI, in pretty much every case.

Considering he is committed, and teammate of our class leader, and in back yard I do like our chances. I consider him a centerpiece to the class (I'm not a big fan of the term 'must get').

Also have no problem with him making us work for it. I'd be more disappointed if he HAS to make us work for it.

It isnt going to happen.

The real key to a solid class is getting Gunnel IMO.

He is priority one along with Sopsher. I will breathe a lot easier knowing we have Gunnel on board in reference to the rest of the class. It is imperative we get a top flight QB this class. With a weak QB class all around he is of utmost importance.

but the only thing that you can do about it is stop losing to them. Hit the bully in the mouth and become the bully!

Get ALL of the 2019 Louisiana kids, get them seats right on the 50 yard line, and beat Bama's arse.

Problem solved.

Nobody that is truly committed to LSU would ever say that they love Alabama.

He gone. #groupie

I think it is smoke and mirrors. He is teammates with Thomas and Thomas is out biggest recruiter right now.

Davis will be a Tiger.

Just taking trips and having fun. He'll consider a few teams but land as a Tiger...

I disagree. For example, Fournette was very open about how impressed he was with Bama for quite a while. They went all-in on him on his official, and the sound bites were very similar to what we heard with Surtain.

In the end, we lost Surtain, got LF7.

There's a lot to like, about us and them. And numerous other schools. We've lost recruits to USC and UCLA because of LA. We've lost recruits to TAMU because they recruit just didn't like us and loved TX but hid it well (e.g.,Daylon Mack),

The "nega-O" crowd wants Orgeron to smash in recruiting because it's not going to make one bit of difference with him at the helm anyway. He will set the next guy up for success though.

The one positive of the 0 tenure for me personally is that I just don't follow recruiting nearly as closely anymore.
