Has only been playing football for a year or so ... my question would be, does this year count as a year of eligibility for Moko? Meaning could he sign and transfer to LSU and be a true sophomore in the NCAAA’s eyes?

Obviously this guy has a great deal of potential based on his offer list. Would be a welcome addition to the class.

Not necessarily. There’s attrition in every class.
But I will say that doesn’t sound great for our chances of getting Leigh, hopefully just a backup plan offer

So who exactly would be bumped? And I think its either a backup plan offer or the staff is just like uh oh this Leigh battle is a lot closer than it should be.

He’s listed as an OT, but this guy is a finisher in his Hudl highlights.
He’s pulling a ton as well.
Could easily see him being a physical guard in the SEC. And I’m not sure how well Bradford and Thomas are progressing.
Possibility for 2021:
Dare, Moko, Shanny, Hines, Leigh/Dumervil
Backups being Wire/Hill, Martinez/Perry, Turner, Bradford/Thomas, Leigh/Dumervil.

My guess is probably 4 of the current commits won't make it in the class. I don't like speculating on who, but I'll bet we tell a couple of guys to look elsewhere and a couple of guys we want will end up not signing with us.
This is based solely on following recruiting for a while and this is how it usually goes.
And as for this offer being indicative of Leigh going elsewhere, there's no telling if that is true. It could mean Dellinger is staying closer to home. Or maybe Byrd told the staff we're out of the running. Or maybe it's because we only have 1 OL commit. Maybe it means we're not flipping the kids from FSU and Auburn.

Has little to do with that. We need at least three more offensive linemen in this class, and we’re not likely to get them. If this guy turns out to be as good as Damien Lewis I’ll take him over ANY linemen in the entire class.

I don’t get our fan base. It’s a backup plan just in case we miss out on a Leigh. If we did miss out and didn’t have a backup plan, everybody would be hating on Coach O for not being prepared.

It's a no win situation for the staff in some of our fans eyes. There were no less than 5-6 threads just this week about us needing more OL and yet everyone panics when the staff actually tries to do that. Not every offer is an indication of something bad having happened. Maybe just maybe, the staff sees the same things we do in terms of more OL.
