Chris Tolliver let Saban visit his house in Rayville late...even spent the better part of a day with him.
He later said he never had any intention of going to Bama, that Saban was just so persistent he felt he owed him a visit.

Hopefully Miles can work his magic. he is a better recruiter than coach.

My guess is the he's gone.
The writing is on the wall and no kid plays the game this well. He is all gump and has been since crobs announcement imo
All that said, thats purely a guess and I have zero clue whats actually happening

How is that even a question? It's absolutely true.

Losing CROb and Hootie to your biggest rival cause they would not take Cameron (who is highly rated too) - seems like a less than stellar move.
Just imho
Just imho

Well, if you are going to separate recruiting from coaching, then so is Saban. Does it come as a surprise that most of the good "coaches" are also the best recruiters?

LSU SHOULD NOT have taken cameron sims when there are guys like quinn, dupre, and noil coming on board. the staff cant count on a borderline SEC recruit having that much sway over two other recruits. in fact, im still not convinced that that is why crob and hootie are gumps.

No, they shouldn't have taken Sims because he didn't come to camp.

i understand that you're playing a game where the "rules" are constantly in flux, but if not getting 2 kids, regardless of how good they are, comes as a result of not offering another kid who has questionable talent and wouldn't even come to camp, then you just have to live with losing those kids.

Predictions, crystal balls, and the lot are only legit if they predict LSU. Otherwise they are meaningless and ill-informed.

The Gumps are in decline and their coach may be burning out. Just a gut feel on the burning out. He has ran at a high speed for quite sometime and the expectations are now unrealistic over there. BTW they are dogging the hell out of him right now.
There is truth to this, at least in part. Every Bama loss will be vilified by that fan base. The Auburn loss happened in the worst possible way for Saban. If the rest of the SEC West can even the playing field (no pun intented) with Bama in terms of talent and depth, then more losses will follow and the pressure on Saban will mount.

It's not a shitty remark. Les has said himself that games are won on the recruiting trail. It's not a coincidence that Bama's emergence is a direct reflection of their recruiting efforts. Same with LSU. Very few teams can win without reeling in the hosses. It's not an indictment on Les at all.

I have to admit that you have to have the stomach to follow recruiting because it can be gut wrenching. To lose in state players to a school out of your conference is one thing. But to lose top talent 5 star in state players to your conference divisional rivals is tough to take. To not want to play for your in-state school that has everything to offer the other schools do. To not want to be a part of bringing a National Championship to the state you were raised in. I just don't understand.

Bamas loss yesterday will have no effect on their recruiting. Just like our 3 had no effect on ours. Kids lovethe program and 1 loss on a fluky play ddoesn't make their program any less attractive.
It was far less fluky than a coach attempting a 56-yard field goal instead of just going into overtime by attempting a hail mary or taking a knee. There was desperation in every fourth down play he attempted yesterday. There was a resignation to try to get the game over with versus set the team up for the best chance to win.

Hey cry babies, Hootie and CamRob aren't in Bama uniforms yet. Nut up and sleep well tonight. Tomorrow's gonna be a great day.

I feel the same way. After these guys decided to leave the state I could care less how their career goes after that. I will never become a fan. The only way I will cheer for a Bama player is if he plays for the Saints.
