For our newish gym fans. Here is actually a nice breakdown on deductions. Not that it will answer all scoring questions as it’s under a judges discretion and is subjective

The video cuts as she does her dismount to an entirely differently camera. That tells me this was not done in one run through. Just like we saw at 101 she probably did the routine in separate parts. The dismount is indeed much improved but it’s a lot easier to focus on the details when you are only doing a dismount. I’ve never once seen her do the dismount as cleanly with the full routine and no reason to think this is done during a full routine. Not to be a Debby downer but it’s got to be mentioned.
Just watched the first Auburn gymnast on beam score a 9.8 with two clear wobbles and a leap connection that was so broken it should have never been given credit. Scoring is a joke. LSU is not in favor at the moment and it will show tonight.
I wonder why?! Sometimes I think the gymnastics community is mad at LSU for accepting Jeffrey on the team and the scores are reflecting that, but maybe I’m just overthinking things and being ridiculous. But there has got to be a reason right?
