Ok, so rewatched gym 101 in light of injury reports, so here is what I think the lineups will be on Friday. I have assumed KJ and Alexis are available.
I largely agree with these, except that I think on bars Jeffrey will lead off and Zeiss will be second, and for vault we will probably go with a different order, ie not freshmen so late in the order. My bet is on having Chio and Zeiss/Lincoln in the 2 and 3 spots so early in the season and then shifting them up if/when they get more comfortable. My suspicion is also that we will see Zeiss over Lincoln since Zeiss seems healthier. I'm interested to see her scoring with the knee form issues. Lincoln seems to be not really that healthy.
We would be more comfortable for sure with depth with having Coen available for beam/floor: she should be at least a 9.85 and probably equivalent with Dunne on those events.

Yeh - I was going to add last night that I’d be fine with redshirting kaliya if she can only vault for us, to get her fully healthy since I think she can be an absolute force on floor and vault (and probably also beam). Her bars could also be serviceable for college, I think, even though that was her stumbling block in elite.
Also re: Zeiss on vault, I think her form is too crazy to start off in the lineup , but that hasn’t stopped them before

Yeah, I think the problem with Lincoln is that from the things I have seen/heard, it sounds like her issue is an Achilles problem. Not sure that is going to get that much better with redshirting/rest.

Any updates on Beard? I just rewatched Gym 101 and it looked like more of a confidence thing rather than a real injury.

Looking at the meet notes, Beard is not listed on the roster.

Yea, the fact that she's no longer pictured in meet notes is very telling. I can only assume she has chosen not to continue her season and possibly career altogether.
I wish her luck

Instagram reels of the last intrasquad before today's meet shows KJ, Drayton, and Chio on vault; Aleah, Cowan, Chio, Shcennikova, Jeffrey, and Dunne on bars, Drayton, Chio, Dunne, Konnor, Aleah, Zeiss on beam.
Looks like KJ and Jeffrey should be back for the meet

Odds he puts schennikova in on bars? High, I assume - though I think it’s time for us to move on given the potential in others and her dismount, it wouldn’t bother me if he used her for a bit of the season, like they did with the Ballard lead off on floor last year - slowly phasing her out (after a bit of injury) before getting to our best case line up

Ballard will lead off floor for sure at least until Konnor can do floor and then Konnor may even move back in the lineup

What are the best case scenario scores for Dunne on any events? Does she have the potential for 9.90+?

Does anyone know what’s going on with kj? Why no floor? I really want her to anchor this year! Also Chio is going to be great!

All her ring skills are a little sketchy, but I'm not sure if they were actually deducted tonight. 9.875 on floor with a slide and those two rings was way too high. Our floor scores were all over the place to be honest.

Dunne would be fine if they got rid of the ring skills. Granted I don’t see that routine being in the post season lineup but to maximize her routines it definitely stands out as a point where judges can put pen to paper
I was impressed with our freshmen yesterday, they are only going to get better.

I don’t even feel the need to give a deep dive into last night. They looked the best they have in years for a first meet and Finnegan was a star. Chio is Bryant’s heir apparent, so let’s hope she is blessed with the same general good health. There was also a calmness and confidence about the team, I though, even with those early struggles on beam, that hasn’t been present in other years. I am so excited to see what this season brings!!
And, I stand corrected on Alyona in the bar lineup - I am really pleased that Jay is prioritizing lineups and future planning here, though I am sure Alyona will get some time over the season!

I was pretty pleased with our beam response after the Ballard fall tbh, Drayton was little tight but for her first time out did well especially following a fall and know her score isn't reflective of the quality she brings on this event
I thought Konnor was low balled too with a 9.825 on beam
It'll be interesting to see what happens at the quad meet in terms of health and availability of specific routines. Obviously they will be careful with Haleigh but hopefully we get Coen back sooner than later so she can develop more with live reps and getting KJ back on floor would give us a big punch on that event. Shame we won't see the full potential of the team this year due to injuries to Zoe and Lincoln being limited

Oklahoma used 5 all rounders today. To me that makes them very vulnerable. You never wish injury on anyone but if one of those five or two should happen to sustain injury it shows that they have weaknesses that can be exposed.

I thought the same. Also Jordan bowers did not have a good meet, although it somehow has her and Aleah tied for 1st in AA on Rd to nationals. I’m excited to see more of Lexie and I can’t wait to see what Coen can do. I thought this was a great meet considering the missing parts. I’ll be interested to see what next weeks lineups look like going in the quad meet. Seems like a whole more pressure on the freshman and I for one would love to see them out there. Also if chase is just going to do a full I would prefer to see someone else. Lexie or Victoria both have 10.0 sv.

Unless Zeiss cleans up her vault, I'm afraid Chase's full is a better option with how scoring has been going. Still, I think it's valid to test Zeiss' vault in competition and also Brock's 1.5. As for Victoria, the piked version of her vault didn't look that confortable at 101, so maybe she needs a little more time?
