Has she ever gotten a 9.8 on beam?

She’s having an off nights glad it’s tonight and not Saturday or later.

She scored a 9.225 her freshmen year and a 9.775

Same judge 2 lowered AF start value on beam to 9.8

No clue all other judges had 10.0 SV

I missed a lot of the live coverage, but I’m watching after the fact now. In the pre taped interview with Haleigh, it’s clear she’s not coming back. She referred to this year as her final year a few times during the interview. I knew it was a long shot that she would come back, but I still held out a tiny bit of hope!

Lost in all this, is that if somehow LSU shoukd faulted Saturday and not advance, Haleigh will not be an All Arounder at Nationals due to the whacked out beam score. Jade Carey is the top AA from this region
So after being #1 all year long she could potentially get left out.
Infact she wasn't the winner of any event so she could be left out all together
We must not let this happen. We have to perform for her as a team as she has done for us all year long

I agree with you DC4LSU. I am so surprised that Haleigh was off her usual last night. It makes me nervous knowing they start on beam Saturday night and then go to their best event the second rotation. We can only hope they are laser focused on Saturday and will get the job done. Kentucky will compete for redemption since their meet was less than stellar. Arky is in their element being at home with fans.

I wouldn’t be too worried. I think the plan was to just do enough to make it to Saturday. Haleigh will be fine.

I wish I had your confidence! I mean, did they stick a single vault last night? I never look at a meet like they’ve got this. I’m always holding my breath and hoping for the best!

Fingers crossed we can do well on Saturday and make it to nationals ! Main concern is if we are in second going into the last rotation with Arkansas finishing on floor and getting home scored and us finishing on bars which was scored very conservatively comparatively in the regional semi with floor quite loose scoring in comparison (in the sense Lsu was clearly superior to many of Arkansas routines but they were also getting 9.9,s for worse routines). Hope our sticky feet come out for all events and we can hit all events to the level we are capable. I believe in this team and know we can do it just need to put our best foot forward.

It looks like Kentucky gets the Olympic rotation since they finished 3rd so they end on floor which is usually a strong event for them.
1st: LSU 197.8
2nd: Arkansas 197.325
3rd: Kentucky 197.1
4th: Minnesota 196.95
Regional Finals Event Order:
3rd place on Vault
2nd place on Bars
1st Place on Beam
4th Place on Floor

My understanding is that it’s the 3rd ranked team eg by nqs not by scores from the regional semi unfortunately which would mean Arkansas finishing on floor unfortunately but I hope I’m wrong!

Again, I don't sweat Kentucky or Arkansas.
If LSU just simply does their normal, there is nothing Kentucky or Arkansas can do.
If things go wrong and LSU counts a fall, then it was never meant to be to begin with.
Just take care of our own business. Survive and advance is all that matters.

Selena Harris after dominating pac 12s won’t be at Nationals as an all arounder. I think Bryant will get in for vault if LSU doesn’t advance, Konnor possibly for beam and Aleah for floor.

The only way for Haleigh to go for vault is for us to qualify as a team. If Arkansas and kentucky are the two teams through, then Mya Hooten gets the vault spot since she got a 9.975 yesterday. If Minnesota makes nationals and Arkansas doesn’t then Lauren Williams gets the spot since she scored 9.95. The only way for HB to vault at nationals is for the team to make it

That most likely is correct. There isn't any info on the Arky final that shows the rotation order at present. We'll know soon enough. Whether it is Kentucky or Arkansas ending on floor they will have a strong rotation.
