• Players are listed according to their 247sports Composite Rankings.
• Players who transferred in have their freshman class years in parentheses.
• That 2017 class was incredible.
• Ed Orgeron has been the LSU HC since midway through the 2016 season.
[Edit: I had accidentally placed Greedy Williams in the Still Playing category.]

As nice as it would be, I don't think Greedy Williams still plays at LSU

Damn, didn’t realize how badass that 2017 class was

“Who” is that 2021 incoming transfer?

Excellent work. I'll refer back to this to start all kind of threads that annoy and bore the hell out of people.

2017 was the foundation of a national championship

What happened with the '18 class? The low class ranking aside, why have so many transferred/left school?

That was after the rough season with losses to Troy, Bama, MSU, and the bowl loss to ND. Also a relatively weak year in-state outside of Marshall, joseph, and Chase.
LSU took several kids that were 3* and low 4* and weren’t high SEC material and they bolted.

Everybody who stayed in 2016 just about had a huge impact on the team while they were here (or in some cases still here). 2018 was rough but that was a relatively weak recruiting year if I remember correctly. I think 2020 has a chance to be really special
