Ryan Williams did not sign early with Alabama when he reclassified to the 2024 class.

It seems like we're more of a dark horse than a "team to beat". Bama and Auburn are the teams to beat.
But we certainly could use a WR with #1 potential.

As much as I would love to have him on our team, he's not coming to LSU. It's down to Alabama and Auburn and it's anybody's guess right now!

I'd love to know what Hugh Freeze is selling these receivers he's getting. Has to be something besides money. Maybe he's reunited with his old female friends.

The state of Alabama has 3 five star receivers this season. Williams reclassified - he was the receiver ahead of Moore in the 2025 class

Perry Thompson is not a 5 star WR. I don’t care what they say. The sleeper for Auburn is slot Bryce Cain. He is legit 4.3 and catches with his hands. He only started playing football his junior year. Kid can smoke it. He might be a 5 star if he had more football experience.

People worried about our WRs need to go back and look at last years spring, summer and fall workouts. Our young guys were making grabs like our elite guys. They just had no chance to pass two first rounders and guys who’ve been in college programs for multiple years. But to say they’ll be a weakness isn’t accurate at all. We’ll have 3 guys who have experience and then guys with elite talent to come in and gain experience behind them and possibly beat them. Not to mention our TE room and RB room. Georgia just proved you can do a lot with TEs. I think our guys can have that type of impact with this offense combined with a really good run game to go with it. We’ll be just fine at WR.

The OC is Montgomery. The guy who orchestrated the crazy Art Briles offenses and then did some similar things at Tulsa.

Maybe so, but I think it's more lucking out by having so many highly ranked receivers near Auburn's campus that were easier to convince to come. They were dreadful on offense last year, particularly in the passing game. Money and early PT are a big deal.

I was thinking the same thing. What's the QB situation at Auburn to be able to get this many guys the ball? I haven't kept up super well, is there a plan there besides hoping the Walker White guy pans out?
