So far today alone, 8 new offers went out for 2015. Give credit to the team for being aggressive going after these guys - any we miss will not be because we didn't try. I love the new, enthusiasm they are showing on the recruiting trail.

curious as to how you guys know about the offer stuff? is it coming from the pay sites or do you just follow recruiting very closely?
also, would be nice if you listed them for us lazy guys. but, yes props the to staff, I could be a victim of seeing what i want to see but I feel as if we're kicking recruiting into an extra gear lately

Combination of pay sites, interacting/knowing some recruits and back channeling. A lot of us share our info for info in return at some point.

Actually the fastest way is to follow the recruiting specialist on Twitter. Shea Dixon, K. C. Shurburt, Jimmy Smith, Hunter Paniagua, Gino Joubert, etc.

I just dont get these posts. Yall act like they havent been trying their hardest until now. We didnt get everyone we wanted this year because they didnt try or offered too late, kids just wanted to go elsewhere. We usually recruit top players for 3-4 years. This is not un heard of to offer guys in the cycle you are currently in.
Id have to go back and look, but we probably give out some where between 70-100 offers every cycle.

I'm of the opinion that the staff is actively pursuing recruits to fill specific needs earlier than ever before. I don't mean to imply that this is from any previous lack of effort but rather, from a change of philosophy. I don't remember the sheer numbers of recruits being offered so early before and it seemed to me to have originated with last year's Dylan Moses commitment. Just saying, LSU seems to have made a decision to make recruiting quality talent an all-out effort utilizing all the weapons & time permitted by rules to do so.

Garrett Taylor, #9 CB from Virginia. I think the recent coaching changes may have infused some new enthusiasm into our recruiting. Sometimes, new blood is a very good thing.
Also offered 5* OLB Ricky DeBerry today.

Well, without going negative on the former staff, I absolutely believe that Cameron & Grimes (possibly Peveto as well) particularly have put new fire into the process. This is very, very good for LSU. With the in-state talent that grew up wanting to be a Tiger and the renewed aggression focused out of state, LSU is poised well for the future.
