He's a way better shooter, he actually takes 3 point shots for 1 major difference. You might as well compare Ben Simmons 3 point shooting to Hayes as thats just about as relevant. I just cant believe you said he's a bad shooter in the same breath you said it for Hannibal like they are anything similar there.
And no, 32-33% 3 point isnt that bad for college, no it's not good, but there WAY WAY worse than that out there. He actually shot over 36% his first year in college from 3 (with osme volume) so not sure why we're even acting like either of the two are remotely comparable from 3.
32% is bad. Neither is good at 3 pt shooting. One is better and shoots more but still bad.

32.4% is below average in college, it's not terrible, again there is way way worse out there, just look at Justice Williamsn and Justice Hill for example, WAY WAY worse.
He also shot 36.4% his true freshman year on some good volume, so there's clearly something there over a guy who made 1 freaking 3 pointer all season long.
Trying to gloss over Hannibal literally not shooting and just calling the other a bad shooter is a gross overexaggeration equating the 2 as near equal.

Yeah it's not terrible but it is bad. You get a 65 on a test, you did pass but it is bad.

Yeah he's a better 3 pt shooter, that doesn't make him good at it.

No I'm saying Hannibal is a non 3 pt shooter that brings other pluses to the table and Hayes is a better but bad 3 pt shooter that doesn't bring much else to the table. And this is not a Hayes specific thing because none of them are particularly good and none of them can shoot.

You keep repeating this and it's not true. Not everything is great and sucks.
32.4% is below average. over 36% in 1 season is above average. Hayes has shown to be a more dynamic guard than Hannibal. Hannibal has spent 4 years in college being a very 1 dimensional player, not sure what "potential" you see in a 6'1-6'2 guard that literally cant shoot the ball at all and isnt exactly much of a ball handler either.

Alright brah. 32% is below average and good. This is too many words spent on either of them.

Reminder that Cam Thomas shot 32.5% from 3 at LSU and his light was neon green

And his shot selection because he had a green light made his % bad. He's shooting 38% in the pros because he can't shoot when and wherever he wants.

That better be the case. McMahon needs all the help he can get.

Scratch Lampkin off the list committed to Ed Cooley at Georgetown. McMidmajor can’t even out recruit a guy who has been at his school for 2 hours

Lampkin and Hugley are certainly not guys that resurrect this program…. They need guards (who can score in general, but especially shoot), a rim protector and a swing forward. Maybe Ward and Phillips can fit 2 of those roles, but they will still need some depth. He’s got to get rid of these non spacing guards. Vandy guarded the whole team like they were Ben Simmons. That was pathetic.
The Blue Blood schools are picking up interest in Timberlake. That’s probably a lost cause.

Georgetown is either taking our targets or taking out players. Why would anyone go to Georgetown? The ghost of Ewing and John Thompson?

The weird thing about Hayes is when his shot hits, it hits
When it misses, it fricking misses…like even the rim. Either a swoosh or a clanger of the lower front side of the glass
His finishing improved at the rim as the season went on so that was nice to see

Not here to shite on our program or coach. I check in everyday, looking forward to something positive... anything really. Ready for the tourney to be over so we at least hear about more moving parts throughout the game as a whole.

If you ain’t here to call McMahon a frickin loser then you’re in the wrong place baw

I think Jordan Wright will be a lock to LSU, however I don't see Cook coming here. That would honestly be a downgrade in teams.

If McMahon turns it around there will be so many glorious threads to bump and posters to eat crow.

Kind of like all the threads that got bumped when people were saying he was an upgrade from Will Wade?

Yea those same people who seem to take more joy in being right even if it means LSU is struggling are pretty sad.
It’s funny that people will swear up and down that NOBODY on here is that way and NOBODY is more loyal to Wade than they are to LSU yet you just made the point proving otherwise.

I've BLED purple & gold since 1977 as a young Tigah.
We should have NEVER gotten rid of Wade. Stand by him like Kansas, Auburn, UNC, syracluse, and other schools have during "controversy".
I AM CONVINCED McMahon is a bad hire. I believe we should have moved heaven and earth to hire Beard, since Wade isn't a realistic option.
I want nothing more than for McMahon to shut me right the fLuck up. BECAUSE I LOVE LSU (football and men's basketball).
There will be no one happier than me if he turns this around and wins like a good coach should win at LSU. And I'll be rooting him on EVERY step of the way.
I was the same way with the cookie monster. He shut me right up with the 2019 season. I was ultimately right about his inability to handle the LSU job though. I would have preferred to be wrong and coach zero become the next Saban. I like our chances over the next decade with BK. He's super qualified IMO.
I don't understand the simple minded thinking of posters on here that it matters who was right about which coach. I want LSU to win, PERIOD. I personally don't need to be right or wrong about our current coach. It's about results.
